You're probably thinking to yourself..
"What is this duche bag talking about now??"
Well, lemme tells ya.
About 13 years ago, the man who owns Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and the team/car owners who raced there, didn't agree on how things should be run. So, they split. One went one way, and the others went another. This started a huge war between the two. It caused most fans to bail on open wheel racing all together. If they hadn't bailed, they either stuck with ChampCar or the IRL. Then there were few like myself that are so involved with any type of openwheel racing that we became fans of both. There were ridiculous fights all over the place re:who had better cars/drivers/teams etc.It made for a really shitty 13 yrs. It also allowed NASCAR (taxi racing) to come in and take over the show as far as motorsports in North America go. I used to think it would never last forever, but the past 3 years I thought they'd never get back together.
Well, this news was just thrown on my desk, and all I can say is, THANK YOU!!!!

Seriously, this news has inspired me to head straight to Western Ave after work. I'll be very hungover tomorrow, but it's worth celebrating. I'm serioulsy stoked on this news.
