I don't think they are any good at freestyling. I remember hearing an interview where an interviewer asked them to freestyle, and they all declined; granted, it was early in the morning. Oh, and what Pass The Mic freestyle are you referring to? Not sure if I've ever seen that.

If they go back to rhyming, a more freestyle-based approach might freshen up their delivery. I'm sure they go off the dome when fucking around to build a song, anyway.

I remembering hearing somewhere or another that "Get It Together" was pieced together from a freestyle session with Tip. Don't know the accuracy of the statement though.

I just did some research, and it turns out just Q-Tip freestyled his segments. Sorry.

On this next album of theirs, they should dedicate some tracks for a straight-up, live freestyle sessions. That would rock.

I was looking around on my computer for something I remember having, but can't find that shit.

Nova Freestyles...or something like that? D and Yauch on some radio show "freestyling." Ring a bell?

It's Yauch dropping Schooly D lyrics (could be wrong), and Mike and Yauch both using lyrics off Ill Communication (which may not have been released at that point).

Q-Tip is an ill freestyler... Not so much for the beasties, I have to say...

I don't think they care about freestyles at all. They are more "true" musicians they rappers, and as you can hear it, they focus on their music more than "attributes" of real rapper, if you can call it like that. Collaborations? Crazy flows? Freestyles? It's nothing like it. They are far more versatile.
