Huh. (http://www.variety.com/index.asp?layout=print_story&articleid=VR1117981337&categoryid=2520)

"More recently, Shmuger and Linde landed Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon for a fourth "Bourne" movie, even though the director and
star seemed ready to wrap it up after three pics...."

Where can they go with this? He's presumed dead, so maybe he gets outed or something?

I've liked all three of them, but I thought it was time to stop. But if Damon and Greenglass are on board, at least I know it should be a
fairly smart movie.

Boy -- a big fat payday must be hard to pass up.

Actually, if they would just unleash Jason Bourne on Jack Bauer's punk ass, I'd probably pay to see that -- three, maybe four times. (y)

Alright! I was wondering if they were going to continue the saga. I'm game for another one.

It needs a pod race and a clumsy but lovable Gungan.

I haven't seen any of the 3 so far. Not sure why.

Go watch them, TAL. They are terrific. You must watch them in order, though.

a-z, when you say "presumed dead," do you mean by the audience or within the world of Bourne?

he could easily go back into the life if he is presumed dead by his handlers...

he can be some stealthsuperspy assassin.

wait they already did that in 1-3

I remeber Damon saying that they wouldn't rule out more pictures, but it would have to be meaningful, well-written, and not just about the $$

In Bourne's world. I think the news was reporting that he died in the jump ro something, right? And then that last shot was of him swimming away.

But wasn't he trying to get away from that life, living off the grid, and that's where the conflict came in, because they kept fucking with him?
I would assume by now that he'd have the perfect cover (being dead) so maybe he could go away somewhere and live without being troubled.

yeah, in the hype before the release of ultimatum, i did hear a rumour of a possible bourne legacy. it's been a great franchise and i'd welcome a fourth it was written well and not just a cash grab; i trust damon and greengrass. with the subject matter of the films involving the cia and international espionage, the possibilities for story ideas are endless.

I think it's time for Bourne to be in a romantic comedy. He seems like he has a good sense of humor.

Couldn't you see him verbally sparring with Kate Hudson or Drew Barrymore? (y)

The Bourne movies are becoming as epic as the Metal Gear Solid games. Both in terms of action and storyline. Just sayin'.

I disagree. I prefer to watch movies such as the bournes last to first.

Well, the Bourne storylines are alright but compared to Metal Gear storylines they're childish. :p

But that's just because Hideo Kojima is a genius.

He's equal parts genius and mental.

Menius or Gental?

I dont see the point in making a 4th one. Well, other than to milk the cash cow once more.

They are very well made, and havnt put a foot wrong, all the more reason to protect its legacy and stop.
