started listening to the album for the first time about four months ago. I've always known 'alright' and (their second album) 'in it for the money' but ignored the rest of their stuff. came across 'i should coco''s mention in a wikipedia article and decided to buy the cd after recalling how kick ass 'in it for the money' was.
Great freakin record. Got that raw british sound.
My favorite tracks: 'caught by the fuzz', 'mansize rooster', 'sofa (of my lethargy)'

its a massive album - its the only supergrass one i own apart from the best of - mansize rooster is a forgotten classic and caught by the fuzz wouldnt look out of place on the arctic monkeys first album - its got that same feel.
I also like the one with the silly voices but cant remember what its called

This is definitely one of my favourite "Britpop" albums. Supergrass were immense back in the day, I remember they played a gig at my brother and sister's school because my sister did some competition or campaign or something. I'm glad I had an older brother and sister growing up to try and put me on to music or even just play it loud in the same house as me. Bands like this and Shed Seven and the Manics have a special place in my heart cuz they remind me of my childhood.

yeah i love this album its ace. my dad bought it back in the day and that's when i heard it. been dead into supergrass ever since. In it for the money was a quality album too, really good.
supergrass are fantastic, gaz's songwriting keeps getting stronger and stronger, and road to rouen was great.

hmm...'road to ruen''s pretty good but in terms of energy and rawness I was blown away by 'i should coco'. I listen to that album all the time. I work at some stuck up restaurant round here and my boss keeps giving me shit about only playing classy (in his words) music in the background. stuff like dean martin and sinatra and gay shit like billy joel and kenny g, so lately i've been bringing in my laptop and playing my own music - stuff that at least i can claim falls under this dunce's category of classy like charlie christian and django reinhardt, but for the hell of it i crank up some 'coco' and love to see the look on his face as he comes over to me all nervous and twitchy to tell me to change the music.
theyre coming out with a new record in march or something? i'd love to see 'em live.

Ooh, I love 'I should Coco'! It's indeed full of energy and I've played it to death.
After 'Life On Other Planets' I sort of lost interest though, so I haven't heard the last albums. I did hear a bit of the latest single and it sounds different. Less britpop, more rock.
I Should Coco is great but I like them all. I think I'll cue it up riiiiight now....(y)
Definitely see them live if you ever have the chance.

Strange Ones is the shit. 'I can't see you!' Brit-pop/rock threw up some great bands in the 90's...you had your early Ash and Feeder, Supergrass obviously, Blur and Oasis, Radiohead, then the Wildhearts and Terrorvision and 3 Colours Red...and Skunk Anansie to name a few.
British music was cool.

I got into Supergrass kinda backwards. I found Road to Rouen in a bargain bin, sampled it and bought it. I thought it was really good. Couple years later I was in a record store and went, "Oh, yeah. Supergrass. Wonder if any of their other albums are good?" and found I Should Coco and bought it blind.
Holy smokes! It was like an entirely different band but in a good way. Thought thing stayed in heavy rotation for a week when I found a used copy of Life on Other Planets, which I'd maybe argue is an even better album.
I found Coco three weeks ago. I've filled in the rest of the collection now, including the live disc with 10 and a bonus disc with Money and some singles. I'm in love with Coco and Life, think Road is really strong, and the others haven't struck me as immediately but that's cool. I've been playing almost nothing but the Grass for almost three weeks now and am really, really happy with it.
