thats your best one yet

bit short and not all the rhyme is in there but i like the snippets - especially the middle bit with mca

it was a bit out of sync at first but then you got it to fit pretty much all the way.

I liked the groove as well, very original - is that a sample from all you need is love i can hear?

sorry Des, I dont mean to go on about the timing issue cos i am not perfect! It is hard to do at times, mainly cos the beasties are pretty random rhymers imo.

Guy

Thanks for the feedback - appreciated as ever.

Length - I have been doing the beats first and then fitting vocals over the top - which explains missing part - it was also down to trying to get vocals to synch up (I just chucked some away that were too much work) - I am going to try other way round next time and start with pellas.

The sample is the cello part (freaked) from Lou Reed's Street Hassle and the vocals are part of the God Only Knows coda (an amazing outtake available on the Pet Sounds box set. (worth getting for the pellas and the instrumental backing tracks). The other sample is a reverse of those middle orchestral hits from God Only Knows. Yes you've guessed it I am a big Brian Wilson fan

The beat, I am proud to say is all mine from my new MPC 2500. (Dilla drum kit and bit and pieces)

Funny about the vocal line up thing - I thought it was better at the beginning and I know what you mean about the BB's style - they go across bar lines and timings all the time - sometimes I think - oh **** - just let it go.

Cheers

I always get some sort of groove going before even deciding which pella to use and then make the whole track as i am going along - constantly tweaking the pella to fit - i'm not saying this is the right way but it works for me.

On the first chorus of "money makin.." thats when your vocal started to fit - before that it was way out.
The more i have used the pellas the more i have gotten to know them and where the bits i need to tweak are so i guess in time you will know them better.

Oh and its ok to say shit on here! Unless you really dont want to!
