it's not perfect, but it's one of the most entertaining movies I've seen in a long time. yay!

Preach.

I seriously loved the movie, and the ending was REALLY good. They need to make more westerns nowadays! Definitely watch the original too...different ending but it's still fantastic. It will help you appreciate the new one more, too.

me and my boyfriend were clapping and high fiving during the credits. we also said "this movie is pretty sweet" about 10 times throughout the movie.

we are dorks.

I had watched Bonanza earlier in the day actually, I'm all about westerns now. I'm going to start wearing my cowboy boots again.

i saw a preview for that and some guy shot at a horse and the horse exploded.

ya, he shot at a bunch of dynamite the dude was carrying. the dude shooting the other dude was peter fonda. boo ya.

I actually didn't like that part because I don't like horseys getting hurt, but that was pretty much the only time it really seemed like a horse got killed and they didn't really exploit it.

I liked it. but then I've been into westerns ever since I finished watching the Deadwood series on DVD.

Agreed, but check out The Proposition if you haven't already.
It came out last year and is a really good recent western (although it's set in colonial Australia)

Nick Cave does the soundtrack. (y)

The Proposition is AWESOME

I loved 3:10 too. I grew up watching westerns with my dad, so Im all over them.

the assasination of Jesse James movie made me splooge while watching it last week.

Jeremiah is my other favorite "westerny" film. as is Butch Cassidy & the sundance kid. of course. and Hombre, and The Left Handed Gun, and and The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean. OK YES IM OBSESSED WITH PAUL NEWMAN BUT HE HAS A FUCKING PET BEAR IN IT! A BEAR DAMMIT

oh and this version of billy the kid

man. i still gotta see that movie. horses exploding with dynamite and peter fonda...sweet.
was flying in a big airplane with a selection of like 60 movies, and instead i watched control (awesome about joy division), into the wild (liked it, but eh), dharjeeling limited (not the best wes anderson movie) and a couple of episodes of flight of the concords (hilarious). after everytime each movie ended i debated on dissolving a few ambiens under my tongue or watching another movie, sadly, 310 to yuma was always a choice, but never chosen. i WILL see it!

p.s. forcing yourself to stay awake and watch movies while tripping on ambien is a great way to pass the time when you are stuck on a plane.(y)

i was really impressed that ben foster came through very strongly, despite a top notch billing of both christian bale and russell crowe, easily two of today's finest actors. yeah and the ending was perfect.

"you boys........some kind of posse?" (y)

this scene is a lil light on the paul action for my taste, but classic nonetheless.

judge roy bean was a tv series, but I highly doubt they had a bad bob the albino type character on television in 1956. highly.

how do you want your horse?

and what did he say before that, right after he ate the onion and before the blue horse comment? i couldnt stop laughing to figure it out.

The movie really should be titled "Ben Foster is a Total Fucking Badass".

He makes that movie. And his beard.
