oh yes, that is gorgeous. hate to verify what you are already well aware of as being a perfect dress, but that is beautiffulll.

i don't normally like silk wedding dresses. they cling to the wrong places, it seems. i like vintage ones that are off-white. also sort of flapper dresses that go just below your knees, yeah, they're cute and a change from your traditional full-length number.

I don't believe that I have ever seen a real life bride who looked great in a strapless wedding dress. I know they look fantastic on models, but even my most attractive friends have looked stiff and uncomfortable in a strapless wedding dress. It's a long night and there are always unflattering angles I guess.

My last friend to get married wore a dress like this except a bit more ivory colored and without the feathery thing at the waist. She looked fantastic in it.

Oh, and I have a friend who paid only $50 for her dress at a big bridal sale. I admire her for that.

There are some beautiful dresses here. You really need to go to a bridal dress shop though and try on lots of different styles - it's quite amazing what you think will suit you but then...doesn't.

I don't particularly like the tops of my arms and i thought i would go for something with a sheer sleeve or a bolero jacket. When i tried them on, both these styles just didn't suit me and made me feel frumpy.
I ended up wearing a simple 2 piece dress - a strapless corset and a straight skirt with 'apron' folds. You 'know' as soon as you put it on though when you have found your perfect gown.

Yeah, I think you have to have very narrow shoulders and a slim bustline to pull off a strapless dress but it seems that is one of the most popular cuts. It doesn't look good on me, I've tried other strapless dresses. Sweetheart necklines look okay but I don't really like them.

That's what I've heard, that what you think you want may not necessarily look good on you and you end up getting something that's totally not what you thought you would get. Two of my friends that got married last summer said that and they both looked amazing in the dresses they never thought they'd buy.

Wow, Crafty, you have found some lovely ones! I really like the ones that are cut to the side or have a side sweep detail. Especially with a different fabric or texture coming out from under the sweep.

And I think I have a better idea of some necklines that will work for me. I like the one on the first page with the semi sleeves that just sweep the shoulders.

Well I went wedding dress shopping again on Sunday and found several that were really beautiful. They wouldn't let me take pictures but there are pictures on the website. Yes I did, it was so much fun! I tried on like 20 and was exhausted at the end. Getting in and out of them is complicated and they're heavy. But I felt like a princess.
