Ugh. "Forward this to all your friends and reply to me so I know that I am loved."
What bullshit. I can't believe adults actually send these things. (n)

agreed! there's a lady in our VERY small office (i have 3 co-workers and 3 bosses) that sends me these daily.
i HATE them! i never send them back. why does she keep sending them to me!?!
Ugh. My cousin sends me those in texts on my phone. Even worse, every so often I just get a "whats up dude" text. Like I'm going to inform what I'm doing constantly through texts.

It feels kind of like emotional hostage-taking. I've never had anyone directly ask me, "Why didn't you reply?" but I figure my stock answer is
"I don't reply to 'forwards.'" Then again, the folks who usually send me this stuff tend to almost NEVER write anything personal; I almost
exclusively get 'forwards' from them.
In this case, though, it's a niece who just got back in touch after a few years. It makes me kind of sad to think that she started
communicating with me gain so that she could send about half a dozen of these things per day. I've ignored them and instead sent
her personal messages, though, and she does reply to those, so maybe I don't know what I'm bitching about.

^ that's a good way to handle the situation.

or those damn, "send this to 50 people or someone will die", "true" story things people do.
Or the prosperity ones. Dude, I don't even have 50 people on my email address list. And if I did, I ain't gonna send your gay shit to them and spam them.

Those are bad, too.
I guess I just particularly hate the "and make sure you send this back to me" ones because they're pretty much putting you in the position
of "rejecting them" in some way.
I'd have died 467 times last year if those things were true.
It proper annoys me too. On what planet does forwarding an email constitute eternal love/life/luck?
Wazzocks.

You would think that after repeatedly not getting a reply to this shit, they would stop.
But no. It's easier to hit "Select all" than to consider whether or not you're spamming.
These people really need to know what Karma is. I wouldn't go around telling people that they will die if they don't forward a message.
I'm hoping that by pressing 'select all' they incur some bad karma...maybe knocking a year of their life expectancy :D

Seems like there should be some great satirical "Don't forward me stuff any more" e-mail with instructions to forward this to ten friends for
good luck or something...
