...but actually, my doctor's instructions say I can take one or two, so this isn't gross abuse. But taking just one is barely blunting
the pain whatsoever.

Yeah -- pulled a fucking muscle in my back from coughing so much. The good news is the new doctor I switched to is VERY cool
and actually seems to give a shit. They even iced me up and put me on this machine that stimulated the area with electricity for
a while.

Got home after getting prescriptions for the vicodin and the spray for my ear infection and there was a message from him asking
me to come back today to re-check my blood pressure, which apparently is through the roof.

This has been a really shitty last few months, health-wise. I was in great shape, fractured a rib, couldn't exercise (how I wanted, let it be
noted) while that healed, started eating shit all the time, gained weight, kept getting sick, coughing constantly, and now the back and
the blood pressure. Fuck me.

So I made the brown rice this morning and got some chicken breasts. Guess it's time to quit waiting to get better. :rolleyes:

Vicodin MASKS the pain. But it helps. Don't get used to it, though. Once you're able to, wean yourself off by taking less, and taking it less frequently.

You probably need to take some time off and get lots of treatment -- chiro, physical therapy, massage, accupunture, and just plain old fashioned walking all work for me. One thing that works surprisingly well is to take a hot shower in the AM and stretch (gently) afterwards. Loosen up the joints, as it were?

I'd love to take time off, but the thing is, I've taken so many fucking sick days leading up to this that it's only by my employer's grace that
I'm not fired or docked or anything.

But yeah. I feel it again when I stand up and move around. And since this chair's more comfortable than any setup in my apartment,
I may well be better off here, anyway.

I can't imagine getting high on top of it.
I've once or twice (eep) took a vicodin and drank two cocktails or beers with it. That kind of thing isn't very nice to your liver though so I didn't do it again. I do like a vicodin every so often though but never enough to grow a tolerance to it.
