Hey, baltogirl -
I'm going to answer your simple question once my pulse smoothes out -
because it was INCREDIBLE.

The people, the show, the show people - I'll never forget it.
One thing I have to mention is that folks stateside said 'be careful in Mexico' - in a somewhat traveled life (France, England, Spain, Russia, Mongolia... Arizona) rarely have I been treated with greater gentleness or concern. With no language, trusting strangers - the smile still on my face tells it.

Unfortunately, I got there pretty late, and so missed a good amount of the earlier talent. I can tell you, though that

The Cribs: were very enjoyable, the bit I saw
SIR Jarvis Cocker: 'had no common language, yet communicated' - Like Frank Sinatra and David Bowie had a baby, baby!
M.I.A.: LIKE VOLCANO! Electrifying!
Beastie Boys: I was in a spot with great sound, good views, and room to dance. Superb. It was cold as hell, though, by the time they took their stance. Good thing they moved us! They gave great joy - thanks A MILLION, boys!

The Teenagers: again - good, the bit I saw.
Cut Copy: Dance, Sucka!
Gang Bang DJ's: I said DANCE!
What was strange was:
Finding the venue was like doing a puzzle.
I didn't have the right to buy a shirt?
And it's sweet memories in my hanky - but if you ever go to Pegaso Dynamico, bring a mask 'cause I'm still coughing up the drilled dust of Mexico.
