View Full Version : Do you ever make plans with people and then bail...
when you find out they invited other friends who you really don't care for?
My best friend from college has a group of friends who became her friends after we graduated. For 10 years, I have "sometimes" put up with these people when we're in a social environment and other times I've bailed and made excuses not to go out when I really can't be bothered.
Sometimes I feel like a bitch, but the reality is, I'd rather be at home with my dogs and b/f than acting fake and trying to get along with these fuckers.

i think it is totally normal to act this way. It depend on the mood and the amount of energy you have at a precise time;sometime you really feel social and you go for those kind of social interaction and sometime you just don't give a shit to not socialize and staying home feel more comfortable and loving.

yeah, lots of times there's been friends of friends who I would never be friends with in a million years that have made me want to be at home rather than to have to talk to them.
Best thing to do is completley drunk (y)

recently I didn't go to a party because I knew a certain person was going
to be there. a couple of my girlfriends and I hate her guts. it's not that
she's mean or anything, she's just stupid and an attention whore. she's
also a kiss-ass. she's constantly kissing my ass because I'm in with the
leaders of an organization we belong to. but like the other day I was
trying to explain how something should go to the group and she kept
interrupting me like, "hey, what if we do [thing that is opposite of what I
was explaining], hmm?"
and I was like, "no, we're not doing that". and she's like, "but what if..."
and I was like, "yeah, um, NO".
she's also always talking about how awesome it is getting wasted, but I
don't think I've ever seen her drunk. she's like, "HEY GUYS LET'S GET
WASTED" *drinks water*
I'm going to kick her in the taco.
I guess what I'm saying is, don't worry about being a bitch. I don't. ha.

this is basically why I almost never leave my house or go out socially. I hate people that much.
:(
Now that I'm 21, I avoid certain bars that attract the type I went to highschool with. Actually, I avoid any and all that attract really hot chicks I might decide to pick fights with about retarded shit.
I'm sure my friends have retarded friends I've yet to meet- or haven't met because nowadays I call them out on their retardation.

A friend of mine issued a declaration this week that he can't be friends with any of us anymore over one guy in the group. He told all of us not to call or email him anymore and that because we are friends with the other guy we are as suspect as he is. I've known this guy for about 10 years and he's known some of our other friends since high school. Oh well.

i'm in a BAD situation like this. my best friend
just got back with her dirt ball ex-boyfriend.
he did so many bad things to her...
i have no idea why she's back with him other than loneliness.
i hate this guy so much that it's ruining our relationship
b/c i just won't hang out if he's there. i never tell her that,
i just don't show up if i know he's there...
or even if i show up and i see him, i'll bolt.
i guess i'm afraid that if i see him,
i'll cuss him right the fuck out and then our relationship
will be permanently damaged.

That sounds more like elementary school.

You don't even know, dude. I seriously can't believe I associate with people like this. He is the second one in a week to send a mass attention-whoring email "quitting" the group. Some of our friends have even sent sarcastic "you can't leave the group, cuz I'm leaving the group!" emails. My fiance is among them. I am 30 years old, people. 30. Most of my friends are older than me. Its actually stressing me out quite a bit because its just so stupid. I feel like an idiot for ever hanging out with these people.
Aceface, that's a bummer. Its always a struggle when you don't like your friends' sig others. I have no good advice for that one. I'm not sure there is any.
