Another AMAZING show!!!! The set list had much of the same as T5 w/ some extra treats. Lots of instrumental. Yes, that means they did Rymin' and Stealin' again - (y)(y)(y)(y) And the best Ch-Check it Out that I've ever seen... Ya know, they did it up nice for the Glades! Fredo even brought out the sexy Mike D banner from T5. I wish I could explain it.... maybe when I'm not so sleepy... or hopefully it will be up on youtube.

Funny to see them play to a massive crowd after being spoiled by the series of small venues. I felt like I was sharing "my" BBoys w/ the masses. Cool to watch a sea of ppl rockn' out to them.

I just can't get over what I saw tonight... The girl next to me let me tell her the name of each song and then put them in her BBerry to email me the list. I also have some videos and pics to share w/ the class but it's going on 4a and I am tuckered out tonight.

Izzy-i'm insanely envious but so glad you had the best time-thankyou for your reviews and pictures etc-looking forward to the langerado pix.

I get what you're saying that you just couldn't get over what you saw-i still feel that from the sunday afternoon set in the summer at bestival-despite being a festival it was empty enough to feel like a private party with "our boys"!!!

Nice one-hope your feet don't have to touch the ground just yet!!

great show. walked right up front about an hour early and was about 3 people from the t barrier on MMM side. Up close the sound was clear. They started on instruments with time for livin' and then gratitude. Looking at the t5 setlist they are pretty similar except in a very different order and they added shambala and pow. Lots of shout outs to the glades, gators, fan boats. During check it out alfredo came out with the mike d bagel banner.

Fun times except for the 3 hour car ride to get there (almost 2 hours on a dirt road)

any other rare treats such as Rhymin and Stealin played? Im glad you had a good time, I wish I coulda been there...are you going to REM tonight? R & S was the biggest treat. I read an artical w/ Yauch pre show w/ him saying that the performance would be mostly the more known stuff. Not going to see REM tonight... I'm hanging out in the airport instead - flight was cancled so I've had 10 hrs to kill... good thing I'm still buzzing from the show.

happy early birthday :) Aw, Thank you!!
Here's hoping I can get back to NYC before my bday brunch(y)

PS - forgot to mention that the crowd was nearly all hippies. Pretty entertaining to watch them getting groovey to the BBoys:D

OH!! and then there was a rave just after, and they played FFYR, techno style. Funny stuff... glow sticks and Beastie Boys.

Dear All,

I feel I have made one of the biggest mistakes of my (somewhat) young life. This is probably a bit of an exaggeration I'm sure, but it is actually how I feel at the moment.

I drove 4 hours from St. Pete Beach to attend this show. It should have only taken 3 hours but I got mixed up (pardon the pun) on one of the back woods roads. My biggest mistake was following MapQuest directions, as opposed to simply using the directions provided with my ticket. MapQuest had me enter Big Cypress from the 'wrong side of the reserve', as stated by a Seminole Tribe police officer who had a check point set up at this entrance. He said I would have to go back to the interstate and take a different exit than the one I had just taken. This would take at least 2 more hours of driving.

I was so frustrated with the entire situation that I decided to say 'screw it, I'm not wasting anymore time on my vacation driving' and headed back to the beach. I made it back in time to watch my beloved Celtics kick some Chicago Bulls ass on ESPN with my fiance and her family.

At the time I thought I wouldn't have any regrets as I believed that the drive back after the show was going to suck because of it being so late. Plus, I heard on the radio that parking was a bitch. They said it was going to take hours to get out of there.

Since arriving back home from my vacation from sunny Florida, I can tell you that I will never make this mistake again. After watching clips from the show on YouTube I realize that seeing the Beastie Boys is worth the 9 or so hours of driving and that I need to grow a set and not be such a little bitch.

I suck,

Jason P

oh and jason p: we accept your confession and forgive you since you seem to understand the magnitude of your sin. back in the summer of 95 i turned down a road trip to see the dead (you do the math). however, please don't go kicking the bulls around as part of your consolation :p

I agree with the for-tee thieves. (y) But at the :56 mark it sounds like "when big mike takes a sip oo ficka ficka funky!" to me.

ha! i still hear "sip" but you have a point. euphemism maybe.

btw, i see they did rhymin & stealin again in mexico.

if this trend of dusting off lti stuff is to continue, my dream is a series of summer one-off's with "she's crafty" on every setlist (tho i'd settle for a series of summer one-off's).

For anybody who is using a work or school computer and the torrent file is not an option. First of all, why aren't you getting any work done, or gettin' your learn on?

Anyway..

I've put this show up on my site, as 256kbit MP3's with all the ID3 tags fixed. 1 zip file, 181mb.

You can get it here: http://www.beastiemixes.com/live.php
Top of the list.

If you can bittorrent it, please do so, the download speed will be much faster, and it helps out the others trying to get it.

Huge thanks to _davieto_ for this!

Have Fun!

I was also at Langerado. Definately a solid show but I still have to give props to the McCarren Pool show. That shit blew my mind. Rhymin and Stealin was sweet, and the shout outs to the gators and glades were hilarious, they definately had some fun up there. It would have been sick to have them bust out in Paul Revere then have 20,000-30,000 peeps singing.

Izzy, Im a little spec in your pictures. I was actually about 4 people deep on along the barrier on MMM side. Always good to show peeps pics of where I was standing during a festy like this to prove that I was up close.
