Especially when you realise the amount of work you shirked off the previous friday.

Also I hate it when a colleague asks how your weekend went just so that they can tell you all about theirs.

I have toothache and I'm as grumpy as fuck (n)

I know how you feel (well, apart from the toothache) :( Every Monday I start with a 2 hour PP&CG meeting which makes me die a slow death. And the weekly debate as to whether I should make the effort with the boy. Urgh.

Ryan Adams is going to have to get me through today.

Hmmm, you still unsure about your man then? :(

Well, I am quite sure I like him but he doesn't make things easy.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Maybe look at it in a different way. Imagine having a boy that doesn't muck you about and waste your time (y)

fuck mondays.

Hmmmph! I ain't going to work today cus I know the annoying boss lady has a pile of extra work for me and then she'll complain about how busy she is instead of actually doing anything while everyone else picks up after her. Fuck that shit.

40 miles round trip for about 15% over minimum wage, I'm a freaking chump.

Every Monday I wake up with my mobile in my hand, content to call off sick from work. We get written up if we do that though. We get no sick days so even if you are pissing water out if your ass sick, you'll get a write up.

So here I am, waiting for the train to start the new week of the rat race. Blahhh.

I've got until next Wednesday off. Just been playing some videogames this morning, going to make myself some lunch in a bit and then go out! Great!

It's just too nice to work!

And it starts already. I'm outisde of my building chilling out and some
guy comes to me asking for directions. No excuse me or nothing, just "where is this street?" I tell him and he just walks off with no thank you or nothing. I tell him, "you're welcome" all sarcastically and he doesn't even look back to acknowledge.

Man I need a new job.

i don't really mind it. everyone is usually pretty subdued.

the only time people are usually extra grumpy is after a really crummy football game

I will have to insist that Tuesdays are far, far worse.

At least on a Monday you just kinda grumble and get on with it. You can chat about what happened at the weekend, the football etc.

On a Tuesday you've already used up all the conversation options, your workload has increased since Monday, and you're not even half way through the week. Rubbish!

Mondays blow. No doubt about it.

Eh, I was just feeling a little bleh this morning. Thus I looked for a Monday thread and this was closest to how I was feeling.

Today turned out alright - I took a load of my personal admin to do at work so it was productive in that sense.

Wow you guys. You almost make me happy to be unemployed.

Adam

Yes, at least I have a job. The pros of having a job do out weigh the cons, just - like 6-7% and when that balance gets shifted nearer 1-2% you start to question not living off the state. w00t socialism!

I'm living off 25 years of paying taxes toward unemployment benefits.

I have a couple of friends who use that excuse for riding unemployment.

I can't judge your friends, but I'd hardly say that I'm "riding unemployment." Three checks in 25 years while I look for a job daily is hardly abusive.

I used to be very anti-unemployed until I became unemployed for about 4 months and it was fantastic. Now I see why so many do it (y)

To avoid the blues I just view Monday as another day closer to the weekend (y)

Mondays ruin Sunday nights.
