I know its Friday and the lady at the burrito place made my burrito just the way I like it today but I am still feeling out of sorts.

Three of my friends have had meltdowns in the last 2 weeks. One due to supreme self-importance, one due to what I'm pretty sure is brain damage from too much partying, and the third from a seriously deep depression.

Last night I was on the phone with one of them and he was saying some things that really worried me and then late last night (midnight or so) I got a long rambling message from one of the others that also didn't make any sense. And then a text from the same one this morning saying he had bought me some presents for no particular reason (which is really out of character)

Its just stressing me out that they are all so unstable. Being surrounded by this erratic behavior is getting to me. I mean, I know its their problem but the last two weeks have just been an endless string of bizarre emails and texts its weird to have that coming at you. I actually get anxiety when I open my email account now because I'm never sure what bizarre rambling email might be present or who might be the next to melt down.

You didn't watch Jumper, so it can't be really bad.

no,I think it's only scheduled for release on X Box 360 and Playstation 3 for now, although 'Bully' is available on Wii....I read a review that said 'giving chinese burns' on the Wii was fun

I'd love to work in a Crazyhouse bc each day you'd meet interesting people.

Clock out and the next day you'd meet the same group of interesting people but they'd possibly butterfly into a whole new level of craziness

I've got a friend who talks about suicide.

I'm fed up with hearing it. I've lost a good friend two years ago, lost another last week.

All I can say to him now is "whatever" after trying to coach him. He's got 4 kids and a very nice fiance. What the hell can be so damn wrong?

Wow. I'm sorry about that, that's the ultimate stress.

Only one of them has so far invoked the s-word. And he's the only one I'm positive won't do it. The other two...

Play him the MASH Theme song. That should cheer him up.

I believe that all high risk takers have a dose of suicidal in them. And, maybe that's good, nothing gets the blood pumping like realizing what you're doing may just get you killed. That's when you cherish and embrace life or on the other side of the coin you just might be taunting death. Dolts that work there 9-5 for 40 years and then retire have never lived. Try betting whether or not you'll go bankrupt by the land of a spin of the wheel really kicks it up a notch.

oh god. it's cause of Jessica Alba isn't it??? ugh. my man likes her. I think she's a twat. sure she's hot, but she bugs me. *vomits*

But hey, on a good note...you don't have to worry about opening my emails...my crisises have subsided. For now anyway. Thanks for putting up with me. heh.

Sorry your other friends are loony. that's stressful. When you're empathic, like me, it's hard not to take on other people's problems...but you'll have to draw the line somewhere.

The one that died two years ago was due to complete doctor malpractice. He was a huge loss.

The one last week was from his own stupidity. Hate to say it, he will be missed and remembered but damn, he was on methadone and drinking heavily. He got into an argument cause his girlfriend was worried about him and all he could do was pop more pills and drink more instead of listening to her? I'm frustrated. I know he didnt do it intentionally but damn.

Now this guy talking his crap. Man, I've got depression issues myself. I've seen alot, been through alot but I'm still and will be here. So can he.

So yeah, I feel ya. Believe me.

Yeah, he loves Jessica Alba. I told him we are not watching The Eye.

I enjoy your emails. At least your crises are not self-indulgent waste of time crap and your emails are coherent and comprehensible.

last week or so i went to get a burrito at a local fast food type place. i love it, for the price, the food is really pretty damn good. but as i was standing there ordering, i saw a cockroach crawling around the chicken. i mean, i was just standing there, watching it, this ugly ass cockroach having its way with the chicken at my beloved burrito establishment

thing is, i ordered a carnitas burrito, and i was really pretty damn hungry, so i didn't say anything, even though as far as i knew, that cockroach had been there all day, doing whatever it is that cockroaches do to every damn inch of every bit of damn food that they serve

so i just stood there and sort of ignored it, and i bought the burrito and went about my day, i didn't even say "hey i see you have a cockroach crawling around there, i won't tell the health inspector if you let me have this one for free" i just sort of looked the other way and ate the burrito

i realize this thread isn't really about burritos but this whole thing has been weighing on my mind and i just had to tell someone

Last night I was on the phone with one of them and he was saying some things that really worried me...

Well I found out recently that about two days after the above referenced phone call my friend tried to kill himself. His girlfriend saved his life and then he spent 5 weeks in the hospital.

Yesterday I got a call that another of my friends got into a fight late Tuesday night and was stabbed. I went to see him in the hospital yesterday, he's got a broken rib, broken hand, sprained ankle, road rash all over, possible concussion, not to mention the aforementioned stab wound. He's going to be fine but... damn.

Am I like really bad luck or something?

Not only can the cockroach survive nuclear holocaust, but also heat lamps and Bob!
