A stray sort of moved into the apartment of a friend of mine. He adopted her and after a while she decided to give birth in his bathroom.

The kittens are two days old here.

That mummy looks fucking tuckered out. :D

I remember when my cat had her kittens. Found her in the bathroom outside of her "nesting" box, blood splattered all over the place,
just exhausted while the kittens fed. Pretty gruesome sight. I felt really bad for her, but she did okay. I can't believe she didn't cry
loud enough to wake any of us up.

Yeah, my cat too. When she had her first litter she was terrified. If any of us left the room she would jump out of the box (while in labor) and come get us. When she was in the box she would open her mouth super wide like she was going to scream but no sound came out (it scared the bejeezus out of me). When she came out to eat afterward her poor back end was covered in blood.

My friend didn't name them because he knew he wasn't going to keep them. He's going to give one each to friends of ours (two couples) that live across the street from eachother so they'll get to name them.

They'll be neighbours!

Childbirth would be some scary stuff if you didn't know what was going on.

i was talking with a friend recently who was saying she occasionally is overwhelmed with urges to tightly squeeze a sleeping cat. like, they'll just be lying there, blissing out, and you'll look at it and go "oh, god. you are so fluffy and gorgeous and soft and luxuriant GOD I FUCKING LOVE YOU.." /grabs cat and squeezes tightly to chest. the cat, of course, wakes up with a :eek: and leaves you to your cute overload all alone.

Yeah, it has something to do with genetics. Same reason Calico cats are almost always female.

Same thing having bunnies in the house. Most of the time I can resist the urge because they hate being picked up and held so much. But other times I am overcome by the cuteness of their little twitching noses that I must steal a squeeze and a kiss.

Then I put them on the floor and they thump their displeasure and walk away flicking their back feet at me (its exactly what you think).

Right after we got married, I got my wife two newborn kittens. Prior to our marriage, she had to put her 19 year old cat to sleep and it tore her up pretty bad. Anyway...I was positive those kittens had dicks. That was until they both started going into heat and howling like the dickens. That shit sucks!

Edit: We got rid of those fucking cats a few years later when my wife got pregnant with our 2nd son. Those cats had a fucking sense that something was going on with my wife and one of them attacked her in the bathroom when she was 8 months pregnant. Just flipped the fuck out. My wife loved that cat and pampered them both. After the kid was born, I felt I couldn't trust the cats around him. They were still really edgy. Had to get rid of 'em. I hate cats.

I'm allergic to cats. But look at how cute the baby kittens are! :)

That's what happened to my friend as well!
Luckily cats don't have a clue what's male and what's female in names..

It's quite difficult to tell the sex of the kittens (http://www.thepetcenter.com/exa/kitx.html), unless you have several to compare with.
And those kitties are cuteness!!!! :o
