Anybody seen Pere Ubu lately?

They are playing in knoxville at a little hole-in-the-wall type place tonight, a place that
usually sees local bands and small touring shows and whatnot.

Anyway, it's going to be unbelievably crowded and i hate crowded.
I'm an Ubu fan, but most of my collection dates back to the early eighties so i don't really know anymore.

Also this is not really Pere Ubu, more just David Thomas.

Is it worth going?

yeah, he has a bizarre singing voice. im going down there in about an hour, it should be an interesting show.

we got the real rock star treatment.
david thomas was drunk and yelled at us and went outside to smoke a cigarette in between songs.

I saw them a few months ago and they were great!
I met David Thomas afterwards (and got a really sweaty hug from him) and totally regretted not taking my old Pere Ubu vinyl with me.
