the one in the small bottle works well.

I'm at work on 3 hours of sleep so I thought I'd give it a try cause I was to the point of falling asleep.

I'm on my 2nd hour after taking it. I feel refreshed and alert and not jittery at all. I'll see if it stands up to the 5 hour test cause that's how much time I've got left at work.

I hear it tastes like ass though.

I enjoy XS (http://www.xsgear.com/home.asp) myself. Yum.

yeah, it's not tasty at all. It kinda gave me the piss shakes while drinking it.

I'm still feeling good though, alot better than the normal energy drinks such as red bull and monster.

do energy drinks make your teeth really bad?

My mom drinks this sometimes. If she can handle it (she's kind of a wimp) then its probably pretty easy to handle.

I bought some of that stuff out in Canada whilst I was on the late guard shift, worked pretty good actually. Wasn't the best tasting, but better than drinking a huge can of crappy tasting drink. Wish I could get some over in Europe now.

thats funny you need an ID to buy these. like some kids are gonna overdose or something. but ya they do work, i took some and i couldnt keep myself from jogging to places i needed to go where usually i would walk.

You can actually overdose on caffeine. Not so much a problem with traditional drinks, but with all sorts of high caffeine drinks and pills, could happen.

I came very close to overdosing on white crosses as a teen.

I took something like 3 every hour for 4 hours. I ended up projectile vomiting from the back seat of a van and it went and splattered all over the windshield.

I dont even know why I took so much, was a dumb and bored teen.

Back on subject, 5 hours is over. It kept it's word, I didnt feel drowsy a bit and I'm not having a "crash". I just feel as one should for only having 3 hours of sleep.

this (http://www.bevnet.com/images/reviews/beaver_buzz/citrus.jpg) cracks me up everytime I see it still.

whats the name of this potion?

I drink a green drink every morning, and take a liquid iron supplement straight up, so a bad taste doesnt really phase me.

I believe it's called "Chaser". It has an orange-blueish label with people jogging on it.

how much is it that you have to drink? it looks like less than most of those energy things.

i think they all taste awful and i stick to coffee which doesnt peak me too much, and it doesnt really crash me

Dude I seriously think I'm addicted to 5 hour energy shots....i take one everyday after lunch so I can get through my afternoons at work. I have used many products like red bull, Xenedrine, ripped fuel, hydroxycut but they all made me feel like crap all shaky and such but 5 hour energy is the shit! I just feel good w/out all the crap

I think i should try this chaser thing then.
cause normal energy drinks do the same thing to me. They make me feel like I havent eaten in 16 hours and that I couldnt lift a glass of water without spilling it everywhere. sure I feel a lil more mentally alert, but physically I just dont enjoy the sensation.

Not much at all. I think it's 3 or 4 ounces. I finished it in 2 gulps.

Doesn't that 5 hour energy have 8600% of your recommended daily intake of Vitamin E? How can that be a good thing?

I think the better question is how can't that be a good thing???

i have thought the chaser was a bit suspect.

but from everything in this thread it sounds pretty legit.

i would like to see something about long term use and its effects though. there has to be something in it that allows you to function so well for the 5 hours, one would think there would be a ying to that yang.

Ok, I am intrigued. I get the coffee shakes for sure and cannot handle any energy drinks without feeling exactly as Heiress described.

Maybe this will work for me!

it's not cheap though. It's $3 for a small bottle but I'm not sure if that's NY prices. I just ended up getting a sixer for $12 but at least I'll have some for more restless nights.

I'm going to attempt to cover some of the ?s asked. I've been using it for 2 weeks or so.

#1) It works exactly as advertised. No crash, no jitters, 5 hours of good energy. They are $$$$ after lunch at work.

#2) They are $3, but you can buy them online by the case at around $2 each.

#3) They do have a ton of Vitamin B (not E) and Niacin. I researched and you pretty much cannot OD on any of that. No harmful effects from drinking it. In fact, you can drink 2 of them in a day w/o reaching the threshold for too much Vitamin B. I took one in the morning and one 3 hours after the first wore off. No problems at all.

#4) They taste like ass, but it's like a double shot. Actually, it's better than ass, but whatever. Just open the gullet and let it fly.

#5) It has as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. It doesn't have that taurine crap that can really fuck you up.

#6) As I said, this has no bad effects (4 me). I get to sleep fine, and there is absolutely NO CRASH. I love this shit.

#7) It really helps focus as well. I played 4 tables of online poker simultaneously for 3 hours the first time I took it and I was like Yoda and shit.

For the record, I'm talking about the actual "5 hour energy." Not that chase shit. I've got no reason to try anything other than this one.

The only problem I see is I really want one everyday. I'm trying not to drink them on the weekends, when I can lounge and nap and shit. But, during the week, they help a lot.

Yep, that's a great summery.

The stuff I have isn't Chaser. It's 5 hour energy. When Heiress asked what it was called, I had to google it because I thought 5 hour energy was just a description of the stuff rather than a name. I just walked into GNC and asked if they have that 5 hour energy drink. This (http://www.5hourenergy.com/?gclid=CPGcyrehvpICFSYuagodARCQOQ) is what I've got.

And yeah, I can see it becoming very habit forming because as I said, I didn't sleep and felt like complete crap till I drank it. I've got those other full bottles in my locker at work just teasing me.

They've only got a few energy drinks over here in Europe that I know of, nothing like this one. And I don't really think you can get it shipped out to here aswell. There is not much stronger than Red Bull out here. And that tastes the worst ever anyway.

No that's pretty standard...but if you have a gold card with GNC you can get a six pack for round $12 as well...that's what I do

If you can make it to an AAFES, you may have some luck finding some.

$3 isn't too bad either cause if you think about it, if you're that tired and want something to perk you up for the day at work, you'll end up spending probably more than $3 in 5 hours just for coffee-etc.
