Hi, I'm getting a new laptop pc when I go to visit my family in a couple of days. My mom and her husband bought it for me because they feel bad that I'm single again and don't have internets at home because my mac is 5 years old and glitchy as fudge and hates wifi. and they know I love the internet. and my mom gets mad when we're on the phone and she's like, "I sent you an email! did you get it?! look at it!" and I'm like, "uh, once again, I do not have the internet at home." and she says, "well, that's silly".

so, I'm kind of behind the times. the last time I had a pc was well, 5 years ago. and I need you guys to tell me all the new technologies that happened in the past 5 years. thanks. :)

I'm looking at ordering a new one this week and i am totally going to get it from a reseller. www.xoticpc.com have got some sweet deals that even with postage and import duty are still way cheaper and more powerful than in the shops hurr.

well, I have it. and I'm using it right now! it is catching the magic wifis floating in the air! it's a dell latitude d600 and I think it's from 2002, meh. so far the reviews about it have been mostly positive except that it gets too hot I guess. not too big a deal for me since I won't be putting it on my lap that often. and I'm not going to make it run really hard or anything.

there are some dents in it, but otherwise it seems pretty solid. I like the keyboard response a lot. I am typing all of this very fast!


and it plays dvds! yay!
