not just new york city, but all over long island! I remember going there on holidays b4 going to my relatives.

There used to be "3" in Massapequa. 1 was right next door to ALL AMERICAN BURGER N FRANKS! Now theres only 1 left. :(

there's carvel in texas i thought . i've never seen it being its own store, but jasons deli has carvel ice cream .

Carvel is in Florida as well, I saw a couple stores when I was down there.
There also used to be stores up here in Canada, but they closed a long time ago. (n)

yeah, kenny, i didn't mean to exclude strong island! in fact i think they were all over the northeast at the time these commercials were out and have since expanded.

one thing's for sure, they have never been in the midwest which is strictly DQ territory. in chicago they know not of cookie puss.

Cookie Puss wasn't an NYC specific thing. Those stores and commericials were all over the place in the early 80s. It might have been an east cost thing though. I know they were in VA, MD, and DC. I always thought cookie puss was another way of saying "cookie face" (i.e. puss is another word face, like "sour puss" (ayooo)) The ice cream cone nose is sort of like a cookie but that's just a guess. Honestly, the whole fucking thing is pretty weird and reminds me of crazy japanese shit.
