have you ever listened to an album and it gave you that suffocating heartache that you can't locate? it's like this album is so good you must posses it, not just in CD or mp3 form, but it must be yours wholly. i know that sounds silly, but Cut Copy's new album, In Ghost Colours, gives me that feeling.
The album was done in "mix" form. That is, there are no breaks in between songs, it's mixed into the next song. I just love that, being a DJ and all. it has that synth rock sound that i love so much (and i know heiress does too). think old depeche mode/new order with a newer indie sound. it's just fantastic!
here's one of my favorite songs on the album. you can hear the "mix" going on at the beginning and then the definate cut into the song.

not all songs are dancey. and not all songs are indie. this band really mixes the two together to make something magical. this will be one of my favorites for the rest of my life!
