happy 44th birthday to the inhuman orchestra, diabolical rhyme - beatbox, and djing animal known as the biz markie! my life would be a little less strange if it weren't for this crazy mofo. the beatsies got to really put him on their next record, i mean come on now? he's never really had the chance to rhyme alongside the threesome. of course he's been on a few of their records, but he hasn't been in the cut throwing sick rhymes back and forth and passing mics. anyways, biz i hope you live to be 99 and get to rhyme on the moon once it's finally colonized.

p.s. if you haven't heard it, biz really kills it alongside chubb rock on a seldom heard AIDS benefit compilation album from the mid 90s. the track is called "no rubber, no backstage pass", and it's biz and chubb rhyming over a prince paul produced beat. the album kind of sucks, but this track is fucking fresh.

my friend performed at a show in cali a few weeks ago and the biz was there along with ton loc. she told me ton loc had a seizure and they had to keep him in her dressing room until showtime.

now it's 4/10 and we got another important milestone for all you pretty people out there in cyberspace. today is the 48th birthday of one AFRIKA BAMBAATAA, master of records. our man transcended gang violence and formed the zulu nation to uplift and get funkyyy. he was renowned for putting the funkiest and strangest records on the turntables, and bringing hip hop out the bronx and over into manhattan for the punk kids.
and don't give me no shit about this not belonging in a beatsies post room. it's like when dizzy gillespie said this about louis armstrong, "no him, no me." said damn thing applies to bam and the beatsies, and for that matter all that came after this legendary human.

Yo Happy Belated B-day to Biz! I saw him once at the airport in Arizona and said whats up to him and almost missed my flight cause of it! He's one of my all time favorite people in Hip Hop.
But... as much as I would like to hear him rhyme with the B-boys, didn't Big Daddy Kane ghost write alot of his stuff for him? I mean he's still MY MAN, but haven't you guys heard this before?

yes indeed milkboy009, kane wrote alot of biz's early raps, and biz in return did alot of production for kane that went uncredited. they were really close. kane to me is still really underated.
