the production is completely different. it's still raw but there's just so much going on in the soundscape. very moody. it's more than just drums and guitar with a few overdubs. there's BASS, organs, pianos, keyboards, banjos, bongos.... and auerbach's voice has effects added to it in nearly all the songs to help with the mood.

there's a bit of hip hop added into the mix. not too much though. it fits well. danger mouse did a good job.

Not feeling it that much. It completely lacks the rawness of their first three albums.
