This is my compulsion. I make lists when I'm nervous or worried or even when I'm trying to fall asleep. I know I'm not the only one so fess up. As a mercy thing, I'm only going to put the first one on each.

1. Famous people that I think are probably not assholes in real life.
(Richard Simmons)
2. Colors that coordinate well with poop brown.
(tangerine)
3. Unusual foods that would be good for dipping.
(bacon)
4. Charities that I would donate money to if I won the lottery.
(Little Sisters of the Poor)
5. Movies that I've seen before but not in a really long time but wouldn't mind watching again if for some reason no more movies were ever made again from this moment on.
(Meatballs)
6. Means of transportion that I will try to avoid for the rest of my life.
(donkey)
7. Names for exotic pets
(Iguana named Phil)
8. Similarites between Dean Koontz and Charlotte Bronte
(Infusion of 'supernatural' to work out a pesky plot hole but never developing the concept much, later in the story)

richard simmons may not be an asshole, but he seems real fucking annoying. that in itself makes someone an asshole.

Thank you for being the first in line to receive the Richard Simmons speech!
Richard Simmons is deserving of the Nobel Prize. He has made a life of loving the unlovable people in our superficial world, the extremely obese. He is a humanitarian if there ever was one. And the fact that he has not changed his personal image in all these years shows that he has a wonderful sense of humor about himself. Also, he has not gotten out of shape as he's gotten older like so many of the famous people who are selling us thier fitness/diet plans one day and then are oozing all over the tabloids the next. I ask you, is there a reason that ole Jared isn't actually appearing in the Subway commercials lately? Could he be getting the middle age spread?

I love you, Richard!

i make lots of lists myself. i have them for all the movies/books that i want to see/read. i also make lists of all the things i collect as far as cd's/records and various beer bottles.

most of the collection lists also contain a sub list of the items that i most want to add to the official list.

i am a big fan of to-do lists as well. i will start to put one together once i have a specific day in mind as my "errand day" when i'll actually dedicate a portion of the day just to work on removing items from the list.

1. Pink flamingoes

There's this stream in Half Moon Bay where people have planted probably 100 or more pink flamingos (http://www.flamingoed.com/images/footer.jpg). The effect is pretty beautiful, actually.

Supposedly it's actually for erosion control.
