im pretty much thinking of buying a Wii just to play it.
I no longer live with my brother, so I can't play his Wii. But i wanna play this so much. Problem, however, is two-fold;
I have a tendancy to become bored with computer games extremely quickly and never play them, so it eventually I would end up only playing it sporadically.
I am trying not to make frivolous purchases. simplifying and all that.
Damn.
I want it.

arrghh. jealous.
i have it pre-ordered but i didn't pick it up yesterday. i forgot games i had to bring to trade in to get the price down. also i have a presentation i have to prepare for for a job interview on wednesday so thought it best not to get consumed by it all this weekend.
are you wireless? i want to red shell your ass.
p.s. roosta: get it.

Anyone played the starcup yet? I love it. Alhtough the game completely crashed when I tried to play it online. I'll have to try again as soon as possible...
If anyone plays online against me - my name is Äinschi. See you there :D

Well, it's really hard to understand when the wheel alone costs more then it should be (Well, luckily it comes with the game as well at no extra charge)
I really can't figure Nintendo sometimes. =/

i have it in my eager little hands.
after work i am going straight to my house-sitting-house to drink much beer/cider, eat sushi, and play mario kart.
then i will have to do it all over again on my own wii on sunday.
where i will lose terribly to planetary. hey ho. : )

oooh. so, in reading the instructions i see we can view our registered friends' records and stuff. excellent! ooh, high scores. loves it. one of the main reasons i spent hours of my childhood ploughing away at micro machines purely so i could make my name appear more than my brothers.
i can but try in mario kart. yay! internet connections ftw!

I stared at a Wii and Mario Kart in the shop for a long time today.
Im getting a tax rebate cheque soon. Was supposed to cover my rent during the summer, but its looking tempting...

ahhhh, go on go on go on ; )
it's the cheapest console you can get. a wii here is certainly less than one months rent! with hours of entertainment. hours of entertainment.. laughing at how crap my times are on certain courses.
in an hour i will be able to play it and realise it is seven shades of awesome. joinnnnn usssssss!

Yes, na§tee is right. Go on and buy it!!!
I played all the 50ccm and 100 ccm cups already and now I've got to beat the 150 ccm-level, which seems to be very difficult... :)

No love for 64? =/
For those who don't know, we North Americans will have to wait 'till the 27th to play with you guys.

I wonder if it will be the kind of game i've always wanted...
The kind of game where you spend 50 dollars on it and then take it home and
it makes whirring noises and won't load. Then it will start to load for a second
after, like, a half an hour, only to return to the Wii Menu, crushing your hopes
after building them back up. Then you have to pack up the game along with
your entire console and send it back to the company headquarters in god-
knows-where Washington state.
I hope it will be a game like that. Those are the best games.

The 64 one was decent, but dammit, i loved the feather...especially in battle mode.
I haven't done any reading about this (anywhere including this thread) but does this new one have battle mode? Lots of different battle mode courses? Any special new presents?
Holy fuck this game is good.

I put 10 hours into this already. What annoys me is that the difficulty leap from 50 to 100 cc is pretty significant...and by "difficulty" I mean dominate the race until the 3rd lap when you are bombarded by red and blue turtle shells that knock you into 6th place.

Ok, I got it.
Its really good, I love the old n64 tracks...wish there were more.
They've kind of ruined Battle Mode tho..I liked Last man standing on Balloon Battle.
Whats the deal with another "friend code"? I dont understand why you can't just use your wii code.
I can't wait to have the wii back online to "shoot red shells from coast to coast"
Its gonna be nice to actually use the online features for an actual game instead of just messages and checking the weather.

ahaha. that is so true. bastards.
multi-player/online is really where most of the fun comes in. roosta, are you wireless? i need your digitz. lol, rock - when you are both wii-online-capable again lemme know.
the good thing about online playing on the wii (hi planetary. do you want to watch me fall off rainbow road 15 times again sometime this week?) is that it's not like on the ds where you have to calculate to a t when you are going to come online and create a room, invite friends etc. OKAY OKAY. SO I'LL MEET YOU ON MSN AT, LIKE, 0900 GMT. THEN WE'LL WAIT FOR EVERYONE TO ARRIVE. AND THEN I'LL CREATE A ROOM AND YOU GUYS CAN COME IN. OKAY? GOT IT.. uggghhh.
if someone is already online playing in a multiplayer match you can join their existing game providing there is space. for some reason it doesn't pop up as "your friend X has joined your game!" though. you just have to have a keen eye when the names of people come up in the results/when you're choosing tracks.
i haven't unlocked everything yet, it's been a really busy past few days, but when i do i'll start on the time trials, and everyone can see how crap good i am through the friend records. and like beat me. and stuff. i don't know. there are competitions and, er, stuff.
i agree about the multitude of codes though, it's fucking annoying. you should just have one central code. goddamned nintendo and their family friendly policing.
