hmm.. interesting, Mr. Ratzinger..
..Of course, in the general public, I think the most 'hardcore' of evangelicals 'hate' the Pope--any Pope-- as the nominal head of the 'Illuminati', so his comments won't be taken with much gravity at all.. and the racists among white American Catholics will probably just shrug, themselves, especially regarding the immigration issues..
If he were coming to Detroit, my mother would probably brave the crowd.. when John Paul II came to Chicago in 1979, she was among the throng of folks out there.. Apparently I was too, but I don't remember a blessed thing..

For what it's worth, women should be allowed to be ordained, and there needs to be much more public accountability with the abuse scandals, among other things..
