I'm moving to France and I'm going to drink a bottle of wine and smoke a pack of ciggarette everyday and complain about how life is shit.

ok not really.

but I just wonder when things are going to get better or if constant struggle and hassle is just part of living on this planet....

I am not a happy camper today.

let's do it.

paris is less than £30 on a plane from here. easy peasy.

we can go to bofinger and get pleasantly tanked on cabernet sauvignon.

Like the Buddha said...

1) All human life is suffering...

2) All suffering is caused by human desire, particularly the desire that impermanent things be permanent...

3) Human suffering can be ended by ending human desire...

4) Desire can be ended by following the "Eightfold Noble Path": right understanding, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration...

To love is to suffer.
To avoid suffering one must not love.
But then one suffers from not loving.
Therefore, to love is to suffer; not to love is to suffer; to suffer is to suffer.
To be happy is to love.
To be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy.
Therefore, to be unhappy, one must love or love to suffer or suffer from too much happiness.

I hope you're getting this down.

This is one of those misheard/misunderstood phrases.

"Intents and purposes" is what you mean, I think.

Or maybe not, but my inner English teacher needed to speak up.

I'll never learn.

no really. I try very hard with the Buddhist thing, it appeals to be for the very fact that it says don't expect life to be full of roses...

but as we all know squelching desire is easier said than done. I continue to struggle with accepting that suffering is part of living. but I'm trying.

:D yay. you have an excellent point. I have all the basics that i need and some good people around me too.(y)

I'm just mad that I don't have a penis....I'm not going to explain that right now...but lets just say I'm in a situation where I'm pretty sure I would be getting different and probably better treatment if I were a man.

TAL....what a great idea. ;) it's a good thing I've already arranged to do that. hee hee! (i'm still slightly annoyed though that I'm going to have to handle some problems while im on vacay. I really just wanted to relax and not have to worry about anything.)

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best

^ What if you really suck at whistling? :(

I've been also feeling very emo lately. I even had my very first nervous breakdown at work 2 days ago. Yay. :s
All because I'm sickeningly in love with someone, but I can never tell him, because he'll be all like "omgewwnowai!" because I've known him for ages.
*sigh* And that after I've told everyone that "i don't need a man"

Oooh woe is me, my life is a misery
Oh whyyyyy can't you see,
that I'm at the start of a pretty big downeeer...

i fail at life.

i suck at whistling too.

just get the geezer drunk and take full advantage of him. you can both blame it on the drink the next day (y)

I wished that would work. Getting drunk together is pretty much all we do.
We didn't get any further than 'rapvideobootydancing', although that was a lot of fun. Yeah, a LOT of fun. mmm.

just try making out with him or something. who knows, he might be into it.

Caribou

I'll try sometime, if the 'mood' is right. We're both not the types to just make out with someone. And I've known him for a gabillion years and am totally 'one of the guys'. He's the coolest dude I know, so don't wanna scare him off. There's plenty of drunken parties coming up... And festivals, so I might drag him into my tent. ;)

I want to move to Paris. I just came back from working in our office there for a couple of days and it was awesome. Walking up to the office, was a picture perfect view of the Sacre Coeur. Our office was designed for some prefet and it has beautiful shutters, cornicing, fecking ceiling roses and a perfumed courtyard. Pfft. I'm off to Frankfurt next week so hopefully I won't like that one either otherwise going back to London is going to be even more depressing :(

So the moral of my tale is that if you're going to be sad and suffer, do it in pleasant surroundings like Paris

*requests transfer, orders wine for self and cookiepuss, puts on some Serge Gainsbourg and turns the pages of Simone de Beavouir tome *

Living near Sonoma must be tough. All those crushed grapes -- the wine!

The other day, Mookie said something about lemons and mrs. marsdaddy and I both chimed in, "if life gives you lemons, you make lemonade!"

Life is not easy, true. I find the more I stay in the present, the more in control I feel -- focus on the here and now, remember my priorities, and maybe peek to make sure what I'm doing is what I want to be doing.
