In Ireland, I haven't a clue. We were so obsessed with the housing market and so many people tried using it to get rich that it could have repercussions for years. Plus our economic boom was linked to the construction industry being so busy.
Of course, when America sneezes we catch a cold, so it could well all depend on you lot.
Im just so sick of every conversation in the pub being about the housing market.

you'd be hardpressed to find a pub in ireland without cunts talking about house prices.
i'm still not clear on what a housing market is actually
The thing is that the rental markets are going hogwild now that people aren't buying houses, which ends up bringing out the investors again. I don't see the investors sitting around with all of the foreclosures and rental prices driving upwards for 2 more years. I think it will be much sooner than 2010. Summer is when most people look to move, as the kids are out of school, so I can see some areas turning around a bit this summer.

Hopefully it doesn't go up before I have enough saved to put a down payment on a house/condo somewhere... like, back in Michigan.
