Ok, so i made a PLAYLIST of some ole school rap for my drop-top. Aside from many Beastie tracks, i added a few other artists, such as Pharcyde, Tribe, Snoop, Das FX, Funkdoobiest, KRS one, ect, ect....

One track that i really never listened to, in full content was "Posse on Broadway" by Sir Mix Alot. I knew it has a BOOMIN BASS, and it was the guy who did "Baby Got Back". Anyho...i just listened to it and i couldnt help noticing that it's got alot of ingredients such as the repetitive use of the word "Girlie", and the flow reminds me of Paul Revere, and when i thought i heard it all....at the end of the track they "yell and hooo" as in New Style.

Everything was so intertwined back then. Everybody was using 808s, using similar flows and similar slang. You could just as easily say its influenced by Run DMC (which I'm sure it is). You also have to realize that most of the Beasties shit off License to Ill sounds like Run DMC, or Schooly D, etc.
