sort of like this: http://www.anatomorphex.com/picts/hero_props/HP006_HOURGLASS.jpg
it's about 2-3 feet tall.
I don't know where to put it! in the living room? in the bathroom? in the kitchen? in the office/art room?
it's goddamn huge, I tell thee!
would it make you feel uncomfortable? it's pretty ominous, mystical even, makes you think about your immortality.

as long as there isn't a dead cat inside i think you would be alright going with the living room

Do you have a fireplace? If so, put it on the floor next to the fireplace. It will look distinguished. Plus perching cats.

you're crafty, turn it into a sweet end table!
toss 3 legs on the bottom to bring it to your desired height and get yourself a nice slice of glass to put as the topper.
the only downside to that would be that you couldnt turn the thing over

that hour glass makes me think of the wicked witch from the wizard of oz...
I'm sure that doesn't help unless you want to design a wizard of oz theme room around that damn hour glass...

my body is my giant hourglass.
i think the weirdest thing i own is a child's urn. um. when i was working on that feature film a couple of years back the prop buyer and art department try to sell off some of the film props to the crew at super discount rates when you've wrapped. of course, no one is going to BUY a CHILD'S URN. so dude just gave it to me. "what the fuck is this?" "a child's urn. don't worry, it's unused" "oh well that's comforting"
it is plastic and cheap. the mother character in the film was quite poor. she hugs it at night in one scene. i use it to keep my spare change in.
Rock that shit on a chain. Show them knuckleheads what time it really is!

What I would really like to know... is how long it takes this giant hourglass to empty. Or move its sand from one side to the other... or whatever.
