Anyone see this show (obviously not in Chicago), if so....any feedback?

Citing "insurmountable logistical, scheduling, and health problems," the Beastie Boys announced in a statement yesterday that they have officially canceled their "Rhyme & Reason 2000" tour with Rage Against the Machine. The tour, to have originally begun in August, was put on hold after Mike D (nee Diamond) hit a New York City pothole while riding home on his bike from rehearsals. He later underwent surgery and intense physical therapy, say reports, but his recovery is still not sufficient to undertake a tour, the group says.

What's up with the 97 thing...or am I missing something? But yeah, they should do this again. I've heard plenty of fans still have their tickets, you know, just in case...

Thanks for bringing back the sorrow:(
really. some wounds never completely heal, and those that dont are better off remaining neglected and hidden away.

I'm with ya Weezman on the Chicago show. I think this concert might have been the first show where I bought tickets online using the internet.
Fortunately, I did get to see RATM and the Beasties on the same stage at the Tibetan Freedom Concert in 1999. (y) But I believe Run DMC came on between RATM and the Beasties and stunk up the place.

oh boy....i just got that feeling again, like it was yesterday...hearing the news the tour was cancelled...argh!
thanks for bringing it up.:p
yeah, i also had tickets for the show. i also went to see the bboys at the tibetan freedom concert. i bought a milarepa volunteer shirt from a tibetan volunteer for 20 bucks, dropped some acid, and got to walk around backstage, and really anywhere i wanted without tickets! it was really ridiculous. then i started going through this major guilt trip (exacerbated by the LSD) for "using the tibetan cause to have fun at a festival" and had this life changin experience/realization lol.
i had a series of experiences after that, including this really crazy moment watching the monks chant and perform the sand mandala in the culture house....that broke me down to the point of crying. since then, i havent been able to walk away from the tibetan freedom movement. by the end of the show, i was handing out fliers getting signatures and totally forgot i was at a festival. i was a full fledged volunteer lol.
boy o boy LSD. i remember the weather being so shitty in the morning. cold and rainy, and then all of the sudden, the sun came out and it was the most beautiful day ever. and the concert was great too:)
lol ahhhh the memories:D
