Leaked to the internet today, i think i like the album alot more than the last couple Roots LPs. Easily the best rap album released this year so far IMO. Very dope. I really like the Saigon track "Criminal". The majority of the guest rappers do their spots well, and Thought has and always will be that high caliber mc... beats are banging!

real dope record. i still prefer game theory atm, but i think itll just take a while for the awesomeness to do its stuff. it took a while for me to take a liking to game theory too. actually it was right when i got it on vinyl...

i need this on wax, STAT!

My first listen I was dissappointed.
Game Theory grabbed my attention from day 1, this album hasn't.

I haven't heard the album yet, but I have been lead to believe by comments on other boards and a bit on here, that there is a bit more of a rock flavor on some songs on the album. I just wanted to know how they sounded, if people were digging them or not.

And I guess an overall review of the album. I noticed there is a lot of guest appearances on the album as well, how did those go over?

I think the album overall is weak compared to their other recent efforts, but I like Rising Down with Mos Def and Rising Up, which I saw them play live on Letterman.

As a side note, I saw the Roots live at 40 Acres Fest at the University of Texas a couple months back for the first time. I have to say the show lived up to all my expectations and beyond. It was a free show and they played for over 2 hours. They played some of the tracks from the new album. Amazing show. I'm hoping to see the Roots again when they play in Houston this summer at Warehouse Live.

Just picked it up after work today + I had downloaded a few tracks a few weeks ago;) - but I got my official joint today. So far I'm real into it- they seldom disappoint me though...

I just got it the other day too. I must say this is one of their better albums recently. There past couple have been good but at the same time I feel they all sounded the same, nothing really stood out to me. This album however definatly has a distinctive quality to it. Definatly glad they took that "Birthday Girl" song off the album though, that was a good call to buck the A&R's on that one.

I'd give it an 8.5/10. Get it if you dont got it.
