I am merrily munching my way through a 400g bag of 'SugarLand' 'Apple Loops' (Extra sour, ohne Fett!) which cost no more than 90 english pence! A bargain if I ever I saw one.
Also I went for a piss behind a bush on my work home from work tonight and stumbled upon a tramp's nest in the woods. Go me.
I've been to the one in my town once, and that was because dad wanted me to get some machine for him.

no no NO!
i like lidl too, but aldi is way better.
aldi, freeb, get this - aldi has microwaveable tapas. yes! for less than an earth £.
it also has the best, cheapest fruit and vegetables and a rather fine selection of bakery goodz. they have a quite orgasmic brioche with custard swirls.
the cheap continental sweets are where it's at though. i want those sour apples! are they like what safeway saver salt & vinegar crisps used to be like, so bitter they almost made you cry?

I live nextdoor to a Lidl. Literally. I stumble out of my frontdoor and right into their booze/fruit section. I like!
But I'm surprised to hear they have Lidl's in the UK. I remember the good ol days when I had to travel to Germany to even find an Aldi and now everything's going global!
Oh, and I like that everything's written in German, because nomatter what you say, with a german accent it ALWAYS sounds pervy. :D

There used to one in my town and has been knocked down. I got a real bargain on a twin pack of jammy dodgers.(y)
They also seemed to do a remarkable range of discontinued products - including my favorite shampoo, Clairol Daily Defense. Why is that?

LIDL spies on their employees with the cameras they have in their stores. They check how often they go to the toilet and what character they have by sending detectives to the stores and spy on the emploees. And when they are too old to work for the little money LIDL pays, they get fired. There was a huge discussion about that in the german press... (But other shops did the same - Schlecker, Plus, etc.)
The good thing about LIDL using their In-Store-Cameras to spy on their employees is, that they won't notice any shoplifting

Here they wouldn't employ people who were members in unions, or if they became members they'd be "disqualified" for whatever reason...
