Charades, up or down.

I teach/train really well. I'm good at figuring out how a person learns best and going from there.

My typing is crazy fast and very weird, but 95% accurate.

I can read people/size people up very fast. Sometimes before they speak. I used to doubt this and gave the odd person here and there the
benefit of the doubt because "you can't possibly know that," but it got confirmed so many times I trust it now.

I think I'm open to multi-faceted sides of an argument more than most people. Can't say "all people," but most.

-- but I can also think myself into paralysis and despair at the drop of a hat, and I'd like a little less of that, thank you.

I make better scones and breads than anyone I've met or any store I've been to. My croissants have been equaled at a couple of places.

Charades, up or down..

What you're missing without the cable T.V: "Celebrity Charades:Two teams of celebrities face off to win in a game of movie-themed charades. Participants include Stanley Tucci, Lorraine Bracco, Julianna Margulies, Bebe Neuwirth, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Billy Baldwin, Hank Azaria, Rosie Perez and Carson Kressley. In each episode, teams of celebrities go up against each other to win money for their favorite charities. Between rounds, watch as the stars unwind over dinner. It's like having your own private invite to a celeb-studded party!Actor Chad Lowe, his wife and Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank, and director-actor Bob Balabanm of "Gosford Park" are the executive producers.... That sounds sad.

One of the easiest ways for people to improve their homemade bread game is using fresh yeast instead of the envelope-packaged stuff.

There's more to it than that, but that's a pretty big deal.

Regular old scones are so fucking easy it's amazing.

Funny enough, someone sent me a gift in the mail in the first quarter, which I misunderstood to be my secret Santa gift, so I was feeling a
bit of redemption for a bit until they contacted me and said, "Hey -- you know I wasn't your secret Santa, right?" and my heart crashed
once more.

Those were the dark times.

the white sauce is what makes a lasagne. and mine takes some beating:cool:

my lasagne involves tomatoes, carrots, sweet peppers, beef, onion, garlic, herbs... wait i'm giving away my secret recipe!

My favorite track here in the US is Road America. We have a turn called Canada Corner. It'll be hard not to think of a 5 ton truck running into a pole everytime I hear about it now.

BTW~ Jacques and Gilles Villenueve are my fav drivers next to Dan Gurney and Mark Donohue.

Canada does have some great drivers.

04-29-2008, 02:31 PM
Lest you forget Paul Tracy and Greg Moore (RIP)...and hey make no mistake, it was on purpose, that pole was rotten and had to go…much safer than trying to fall it with a chainsaw…I do however require fenders…(y)

PT never did anything for me. He destroys too much stuff. I would love to see him get a ride for Indy this year though. Openwheel needs all it can get and PT would be a great addition.

Moore was my boy for a long time. My wife hung out with his girl friend when they'd do Chicago. I remember watching the Marlboro 500 when Greg lost his life. It was a very sad time. He was certainly a great talent, and even better person than I could ever be. I often wonder how things would be different if he were still around. #99 Forever!!

The only two things I can think of is raving with glow-sticks (which is weird, because I've never been to a rave, I just thought it looked really cool one day and decided to try it myself and became pretty damn good), and Dr. Mario. God, how I rock at Dr. Mario.

Both weird talents.

good thread!

tolerate pain.
i'm a quicker typist than anyone i know. thanks internet.
i'm excellent at indepth conversations about music and particular artists. i get ridiculously snobbish and wanky about some things.
being a super snarky bitch if the occasion calls for it, this includes witty commentary about various annoying things and also making fun of people to their faces without them realising it.
i'm a heavyweight at feeling stress and guilt about things that i shouldn't even care about.
i think i have good spelling and grammar, but i get super lazy about it unforunately.

oh and you know, one of the best compliments i ever received (regarding me being a slacker) was "if you tried even just a little bit you could do twice as well as most people."

Man I feel like a chump...I can think of some things I do well but nothing I do "better" than others. I guess you could say I don't quit better than others...I got heart. Like when we're doing PT or working out or whatever a lot of guys who are in better shape than me will quit before I do...I dunno does that count?
