Unbelievable......it is truly a shame to be an American, especially those who put little yellow ribbons on their cars and allow this shit to happen.

That is absolutely horrible and can't imagine living in those conditions. As far as the conditions they delt with in Afghanistan, your in the military, in the field, conducting operations, it is part of the job believe it or not. The chain of command in charge of these barracks failed miserably. The amount of troops deployed has a big reason to do with this as well. Not enough troops at home to take care of all the needs of the post. These barracks look as if they were unoccupied for quite some time and even gutted out in some instances. I think there is a bit more to this story than what is being told here. Many troops that leave for an extended time do not return to the same barracks when they get back, even whole battalions. That is not an excuse for the conditions though. Someone should have taken care of those barracks for the returning troops.

Now what the hell does this have to do with being ashamed of being an American or ashamed of putting a yellow ribbon on a tree? Kaiser, your like the Bill O'Reilly of the BBMB with your sensationalism and your schtick gets old.

Well let us see when it comes to supporting our troops. Just because these men and women come back from a warzone the support shouldn't stop when they come into port.

They don't deserve to come back to conditions that appear to be less inviting than ones they endure while deployed. Morale, a little bit of comfort and peace, and their mental, emotional, and physical health rely on the conditions they live in stateside.

Let us not forget, the citizens of the United States PAY taxes to have these bases exist, under these conditions many should be wondering....where is that money going? This is disgusting and unacceptable squalor and is another sign that the military is broken.

So I guess we should support the troops while they are over there but forget they exist while they are here.

Everyone should have a schtick in the air over this
