Should be at least decent, right?

I've heard that Downey elevates it's arse just out of the cheese ball catagory.

This movie is not cheeseball. It's one of the best comic book movies ever made.

I saw it tonight. It exeeded my expectations completely. Total knockout performances by Downy, Paltrow, et all.

State of the art special effects.

Stay till the end, after the credits roll, there is something after the credits.
I can't say any more without spoiling the movie.

Loved it. It's up there. Very well done and I fucking love Robert Downey Jr. He did a good job as always.

But Paltrow has always bothered me and so, she was only passable to me in this movie.

Perhaps something Incredible?

I'll probably see this and Speed Racer next weekend in a double shot of AWESOME.

I'm still debating taking my impressionable and super hero loving 3 year old to see this as his first movie experience for a birthday surprise Monday.

Everything I have read is real positive.

Is it too violent for a 3 year old?

Wow, your 3 year old will sit through a whole movie? My step 3 year old can't sit through an episode of Thomas and friends.

I voted 10 because it's too awesome to be nitpicked.

Quite possibly the best comic book movie since Spiderman.

I didn't like Spiderman. I liked Sin City. That's my idea of a comic book movie. Is this more like Spiderman? I'm thinking about seeing this movie but the comments are confusing me.

Good movie, but The Dark Knight will be the greatest comic book movie ever made.

Samuel Jackson doesn't make a Good Nick Fury::::I'd go with either Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke, or Jason Statham

Yes, Jason Statham. The Greatest Thing to Come out of the UK since Steve Harris

I was having my fun earlier. Now for my real review: The movie was indeed excellent. Intense action scenes, and pulling story and drama. I'm looking forward to the two forthcoming sequels planned. In the sequel, the villain will be the Mandarin. As a side note, I left the theater too early to see Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury! :'(

i think it might be a little bit much for a 3-year old, but i'm not sure what 3-year olds are used to seeing these days. it's not really gory or anything, but there's some gunplay, a little bit of blood, and a whole bunch of terrorism, so i dunno. i'd talk to parents you trust, probably. also it's about 2 hours long, so i dunno if a 3 year old would sit through it

Stay till the end, after the credits roll, there is something after the credits.

thanks for mentioning that. i saw it tonight, we might have left if we hadn't known something was coming (they were long credits) but it was worth it, damn

i liked the movie a lot, but it could have used more iron man tbh

Its very good.

Could have done with a wee bit more Iron Man based action, like when hes up and running in the final suit he doesn't do that much.

But yes, very good.

My 5-year old nephew loved it too.

My 5-year old nephew loved it too....well, logically, it was more character driven; guess Jon wanted the audience to more get used to Tony Stark; after that's done, he can then focus on Iron Man action in the sequel (and his alcohol abuse).

the sheepish guy that kept saying his companies whole name, which was a $50 Word for SHIELD was finally put under their wing.

End of Credits: Samuel L. Jackson said something witty on the pretense that he was Nick Fury. That set the wheels in motion to know that not only will there be a sequel but he'll b3 involved

Based on some estimations, it might have grossed close to 110M.

i love love love Downey ... but, didnt anyone feel he was little old to be an action hero? No.

awwwww ....

i got that feeling not knowing much background on Iron Man .... when i got home i googled to find info and they mentioned a trilogy in the works but production hasn't started ... i would imagine they are going to see how much money it pulls in this weekend and go from there ....

i love love love Downey ... but, didnt anyone feel he was little old to be an action hero?

Nope he was perfectly cast, in fact you suck for even suggesting such heresy- although the beginning part of your post explains your ignorance in the later, so sorry bout that you suck thing.

I saw it a few hours ago and it was pretty good. I wish I stayed for after the credits but after drinking on a slurpee thing I had to take a wizz.

I liked it quite a bit. There are a couple of plot points that were pretty stupid, but overall, the whole thing went down pretty well.

I enjoyed it. Just enough action to make it a good action movie, and just enough dialogue to keep me interested.

RDJ was excellent in it though.

How funny!

Apparently, Marvel only signed Downey for the one picture. So now that they want a sequel, they have to go into negotiations with him.

That fucker is about 85% of the movie, so this won't be cheap.

I took the boy to the 2nd half of it & I really liked it. I'll have to catch it from the beginning. Later that night I asked him what his favorite part of his birthday was and he said 'Iron Man show with dadda'.

I gave it a seven. RDjnr is really good, it's just that I would have liked to have seen more of a fully functional iron man kicking a lot more ass and not constantly see him breaking down and running on 19% or whatever he was running on in the last scene.

about a 7.2
i found paltrow kinda cute in this too for some reason
and i guess war machine would be in the sequel cos you know...terence howard looked at the other suit and said "next time"

B.What number is that?

I can't imagine my 5 year old sitting still for the whole thing, either. Too many adult type situations.

Mookie is looking forward to that Jack Black Kung Fu Panda movie, though.

About a 7, 7.5 out of 10.

I don't know about a five year-old. Probably depends on the kid, but I'd think the mid-elementary school crowd could see it. Most of the
sexual stuff is banter, though there is one hottie in a nightie atop a Downey in a bed briefly. It's sort of treated as comedy though
complete with a pratfall. Most of the violence is explosions -- not a ton of bloodshed. Not that I recall, anyway.
