She was interviewed and said that if she was found dead from suicide, it would be murder. She claimed that she would never commit suicide. And one of her 'girls' also conveniently hanged herself.

Going to prison at 52, especially for a very independant person, would put a big cloud over ones head. Doesn't sound too far fetched to me that she would end it herself.
