You seen this about the platypus?
It has been found to be a kind of evolutionary cross road between animals splitting into "reptiles, mammals and birds". It shows attributes of all 3, and now has been proven to contain DNA genomes of each too!
Its pretty interesting.

Well i thought it was! Its such a strange animal. I remember david attenborough talking about people when they were first descovered thinking it was loadsa animals stictched together! hahah stange

Australia truly is a wonderful country.

If anyone likes reading MUST read Bill Bryson's book In a sunburned country.

I learned stuff about Australia I never had a clue about.

A fantasticly hilarious and entertaining book.

I did read it! About 4/5 years ago? Can't remember much!
Is that the book he has a cornflake bogie on the train? And he can see people looking but is too embarrased to pick it? That cracked me up! Can't remember which thats in ive read alot of his books. He lived in bradford near me for a while.
It is facinating though. I remember the bit about people building giant objects in the middle of nowhere to try and create there own tourists traps. Totally strange country.

You know, when it was first discovered by white people, a specimen was taken back to scientists in the UK who thought it was a joke, stitched together from other animals. They didn't believe that such an odd animal could ever exist. I love the platypus, they're such freaky little beasts.
