how's your state of readiness?...particularily for those along the San Andres fault, tornado alley of flood susceptible regions?...I figure I could make it a week unassisted, pretty easily...have a stove, some gas, candles, first aid supplies,dried/canned food stuffs, some good tools...not nearly enough water though i think I have like 8ltrs of bottled spring...they're saying you need to be self sufficient for a minimum of 72hrs...and this excludes a zombie or alien invasion event...I figure if the lights go out for more than 10 day's we're in trouble deep, fabric of society like...never mind if it was in the dead of winter...here the greatest threat is spring/summer tornado's...you?

I've got a six pack of beer. that should last for about...1 or 2 hours in an emergency. Maybe I better pick up a couple cases...it could be days before i get to looting the businesses near by.....

I do have some canned goods...don't really have a first aid kit..but there are plenty medical supplies in the house. I live right on a creek so I'm not concerned about finding water...however it will need to be filtered to be sure it's safe to drink. but I'm thinking there will be plenty of debris and there are already a lot of trees and shit around so we'll build a fire and boil the water.
and since I live in town there are plenty of buinesses in walking distance to loot!! lol.
fuck. that's the reality of my plan. I'm so NOT actually prepared for this big earthquake they've been telling us we're going to have ever since I was old enough to remember.
maybe I'll just perish in the quake. then I won't need a survival kit.(y)

sheeps head is definitely Icelandic...though some other cultures do it to I think.
Also Icelandic...rotten shark. no shit. there's actually stage in the process if rotting it that it's poisionous. But it's a traditional viking food that they treasure even to this day. I'm kinda bummed i didn't get to try any while I was there. I'm sure it's completley disgusting (anthony Bourdain didn't even like it), but to be able to say I've tried it would be priceless.
