No Mother's Day Thread??? (USA)

Guess I'll start one then. Much love to all the mothers out there who gave us life, took care of us, and raised us right....I love you Momma and wish I could be there with you today but I'll be home soon!

What have you guys/gals done for your moms today? My mom's chump boss actually made her work today! So I called up and asked to speak to him. I politely asked him if it was absolutely necessary for her to be there today and explained that even though her children are scattered across the country we really would like for our mom to be able to ejoy today. I guess it worked cus she got sent home early!

I took my mom out for brunch and then pedicures. Its been a nice day.

My mom got her card on time, it was a miracle! I called her and left a message this morning. she called me back, but I was at the theater watching Iron Man. Her and her husband moved a bunch of stuff out of their storage back into the house they were trying to sell, but took off the market. I called her again and she was at the group home where my grandma lives, and my grandma's doing really bad, had another stroke probably and keeps compulsively scratching herself.

i went home and washed her car and fixed a bunch of stuff back at home and my sister made dinner. my mom doesnt dig gifts so she just asks that we all come over and do this stuff every year. so i come and she gives me a list of things that need cleaned or fixed, and i work away....

yeah my mom's b-day is in 12 days so that kinda sucks

I love my moms. I don't need to have a special day just for them. I try to do something mothers dayish on a monthly basis.

It always ends up being a headache (eventhoug a good time) on official mothers days.

All "_____ Day" are bullshit unless you get work off for them. Even then....its just good because you get a day off. OK, most of them.
