is this a regional thing or is it just totally random?

the reason i started this thread is that my local library is selling all its vinyl
for cheap and i got this british folk ballads comp. (because it has an awesome
painting on the cover) and the lady who sings on it says "nekkid". it does not
sound as though she is cracking wise, either.

i've heard it pronounced that way quite a bit, actually. still i vote for "naykid".

"neck-id" is the direct compliment of "tittays". As in "Get nekkid and show Charlie Murphy ya tittays!"

Should always be used in the same sentence.
