not tv, the fluidish portion of the blood that helps facilitate water and nutrients in cells. im a little down on cash and you get payed 40 bucks for each time, they use this machine that sucks out your blood, mixes it around and extracts the plasma. then they put your blood back in you. and you can go in twice a week! not bad. has anyone heard of this?

Never sold it, but I have a good friend who needed plasma exchanges daily. Really wierd watching the blood flow out of him, into a machine, and then pumped back in. They seperate the old plasma and exchange it for new. Dr Kick Ass made him all better. Well, almost.

My friends and I tried this up in Portland once, if memory serves I got just enough to buy the new Metroid game. WIN.
I have a friend and his brother who both do it regularly. Adds an extra 60-80$ per week to your income, depending on where you go.
They seem to be pretty healthy - I'm just terrified of needles and couldn't manage it.

it's interesting actually, that's the stuff they use in tvs. that's why they pay you so much for it (well, lately).

That's always struck me as totally bizarre,up here we have a national blood bank that is run strictly through volunteer efforts,we have a drive here for staff twice a year and during summer/holiday's there is public call for donations on the news and in the papers...and as of late homosexual men have been banned from donating at all...big controversy...but nobody get's paid...reminds me of skid row poets like Bukowski and Fante, donating and then hitting the thunderbird...I'll tell ya though if they'd pay me in advance for organ donation or my body for the purpose of medical research,I might consider it...

my neighbors in college routinely sold their plasma to buy kegs of beer.

Here we don't get paid for plasma nor blood anymore, but we still get something worth around 30-100SEK.
Sometimes they're collectors items, like specially made china, or books, umbrellas, soft toys, stamps or
discount coupons for local hairdressers or whatever, or you can donate your 30 SEK for some charity.
I tried to donate plasma about 20 years ago, but my blood ran so slowly they didn't want me to do it again.
I donate blood once or twice a year (females can donate three times a year the most), but the last time (my 20th)
I nearly fainted so I had to stay lied down for half an hour and they payed me a taxi home.
