I find it funny how Mikey talks about their production being on some next shit, when they borrow so heavily not only from the 80s artists, but that darker Neptunes sound as well.
If there was one group that deserved to be shown how by the Beastie Boys, it would be these two fashion victims.

it's true, they rap about hipster accessories and the 80's over death row & def jam beats. but that said, they're like 20 years old. their live shows are what make them. time will tell how they evolve. . .

I think I will check them out at the Round House (London, UK) with MIA. Should be a good show.

I give them props for the fact that I can understand what they are talking about. I can't stand rappers I need urban dictionary to understand whatever it is they're rhyming about.
But overall, yeah, their flow is not exactly up to par. They sound like they need to practice some more before performing for live audiences.
They're all over one another, one rapper at a time kids.

Haha. A client of mine that I record is dating the sister of one of the cool kids. He says they're always hangin' around when he's chillin' with his girl. Says they're alright guys, friendly, for what it's worth. I personally havent heard much of their work.

I saw Cool Kids bout 2 months ago at a small pub in Melbourne. They rapped over So Whatcha Want for a fair part of the show an also Paul Revere. Was a good performance all round.
