people usually start smoking when they're young and think they're going to live forever and don't care what they put into their bodies. and then they get addicted.

in the smithsonian and he sits around all day painting, cooking exotic foods
and listening to the beach boys and HE never smoked cigarettes.

i'd say you'd have to be a pretty weak-ass prankster to start smoking just
because you honestly thought it was cool.

meh, I had no plans to ever smoke. my friends smoked and once I was 19 and drunk and one of them put a cigarette in my mouth and I smoked it. after that I felt really guilty. but I was like, well, fuck it, I'll just give it a try. and for a long time I only smoked on wednesdays and weekends. then I smoked a pack a day the summer after my senior year in college. now I have about 0-4 cigarettes a day, more if I'm at a party. I just need to quit, it's stupid and expensive.

My friend just recently quit smoking and it actually wasn't that hard for him even though he's been smoking for a while. I guess he just thought about how bad it is for him and decided to stop.

I made this thread because I would see people around me going for a smoke break ALL THE TIME. Also, my dad began to smoke again, after quiting for several years. I'm still disappointed in him. His co-workers must've made him start again. I'm disappointed.
