I don't know if there should be a new thread everytime the Beastie Boys are referenced in a song, but I just saw the music video for this song and felt the urge to post this.
But yeah, anyway, The Game gives props to the Beastie Boys in his song "911 Is A Joke (Cop Killa)". This really surprised me. Never figured The Game to be a Beastie Boys fan.
I'ma nigga with a additude the human grenade
the beastie boys when I grab a fuckin' mic on the stage
I get wicked
kick shit like I was born with a muthafuckin' soccer field on my lawn
stay with the 8ball
like MJG
I hate the muthafuckin' pigs cause them pigs hate me
and I should kill 51 cops
for the 51 shots
that they gave that fuckin' kid in New York
I'm mad
that the KKK traded the sheets and the robes for a gun and a muthafuckin badge
and I ain't never shot a cop but if they do me like Huey P Newton
I'm pullin' glocks
I refuse to let a pig run away from a farm
and put them muthafuckin' handcuffs on my arm
I bet the government got Obama in the scope
cause 911 is a muthafuckin' joke

Seriously though. Does the Game have no shame???? :D
- It sounds like Deep Cover.
- He's rappin like N.W.A Dre.
- And how does cop killa!!! and 911 is a motherfuckin' joke even go together?
The only redeemable quality is the bboy line.

Everytime I hear The Game he's name-dropping or copping shit from legendary hip hop records, most notably Dre and NWA. Jesus, get over it already. There's a big difference between showing respect and dick-riding, and Game is a rider, no doubt.
I was tickled though when Dre got fed up with that shit and had all the tracks he produced pulled from Game's second album. He wanted nothing to do with him anymore. Ha.

Terrible. Remember how it was a big uproar when Ice-T did "Cop Killer"? Well apparently society has become immune and desensitized, and it doesn't even show up on the radar when mainstream artists advocate murder of law enforement personnel (who, despite some well documented failings, are essentially trying to keep society safe). It's fucking sick.
If he had half a conscience, this clown would donates all the royalities of the song to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. My daughter has to grow up in this fucked up world? Might as well move to someplace far away where ethics and morality still have any meaning, if such a place exists.
By the way, I'm a liberal Democrat. Look at my avatar to see what I think of Bush. It's just all gone too far. An evil and uninhabitable society. Depressed yet?

If the Game is the spokesperson/hip hop artists/gangster-rapper of today to the new schoolers...its just another addition to the cry me a river on fuck the police playd out poster child. Ok i agree....there are SOME police in the urban and surburbin vicinity that ARE FULL OF SHIT AND RACISIT mutha fuckas....but there are some police that actually uphold the law to the best of there capibility. I understand he is representing and speaking from the experiences he and others have experienced. But you cant possibly stereotype ALL police to that experience...or i guess he has. I personally have been a victim of police abuse. I also have encountered police that have given me a break, or did there job professionally. He wants to talk about Rodney King...thats fine...but be fair....dont fight hate with hate...dont disclose the Dr. MLKings messages. Why go backwards. The title is just a repeat to (PE's) 911 is Joke, Fuck da Police(NWA) and (Ice T's) Cop killa...which is homage. Ice T plays a cop on TV...Dre played a crooked cop in a movie to where the antagonist was a crooked cop....
all the Game is doin is voicing his opinion....thats all he's doin....he can be much more effective in other ways.

Game is the eternal dickholder (shout out). It's to Dre's credit that an album the calibre of The Documentary even came from this guy. I now listen to tracks off that acknowledging him as a curiosity in rap. Taquitos was on the money. The outrage shouldn't be about dude talking about offing the filth, it should be that the idea is more than 15 years old.
