CHOKE (http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?vid=235956)

I didn't really like the book, but this looks like it could be a solid movie.

That looks great! Rockwell is way up there on my list of most enjoyable actors to watch- so that looks very promising!

Reading an overview of it was enough for me :(

It's pretty funny that Rockwell's in it.

WHen I read books I try to picture them as movies, and when I was reading Choke, I pictured Rockwell as the sidekick, not the main character.

OK I though it was pretty funny.

Palahniuk is a hack...and his fans are those whom have likely read only Palahniuk...or maybe Irvine Welsh...rubbish...(n)

*pardon me*

Palahnuik soo polarizing, people either love him or completely hate him.

I guess that's a sign that he's pretty good.

I'll see the movie only because I've read all of CP's books....was hoping they would make Invisible Monster into a movie, now that would be interesting.

His older stuff was so much better, now I feel like he's just been popping them out to get them out. I was so dissapointed with Haunted, although Guts (one of the shorts in Haunted) was pretty hard to "suck" down.

so, i went to a free screening of this last wednesday, and everything was going well, enjoying the film, and the fire alarm goes off 85 minutes into the 90 minutes total.

so we hung around a bit, and they told us to bring our (non existent) ticket stubs back another day for a free ticket. so needless to say, some dope smoking in the bathroom made me miss the end of this movie and while it was a decent flick, i will not be paying $8 to see the ending. anyone see this yet and want to fill me in?

not knowing the story to begin with, i thought it was a pretty decent film. i liked the part of denny most, and whomever played the role of dr marshall was pretty cute as well (y)

Sounds like an Afroman song.

Weird. Weird. Weird.

If you like watching a bunch of ugly people bumping uglies, then this is the flick for you.

...funny old people though, they were the best part.

I went home and took a shower, because I felt dirty.

Not a movie to see when you haven't gotten any in a while...especially with a crush.

But anyway, pretty good. Didn't care much for the way it ended but I enjoyed myself. Though I have to say it's not really that...memorable. Like one of those movies I will forget I ever saw in a few weeks.

Fight Club (the movie) was a friggin masterpiece.

Fight Club was, to me, overhyped crap. It was cool when I was 14, but, as my tastes refined, I saw it for flash and style with very little content and a weak twist.

I'd like to say the book was better, but it wasn't. Invisible Monsters was a great book, Choke was ok, the rest were unmemorable, and in the case of Diary, downright boring. I had to really work to get though that book.

Nonetheless, I'll see this movie because I like Sam Rockwell. (y)

friggin masterpiece

If I ever produced a film like that I'd retire knowing I'd never do any better.

I hope it's better than the book but I'll bet the ranch that I'll see it anyway

I love me some Rockwell. I hope to get some time soon to actually make it to the movie theater though.
