Should leak any day now. Only album I'm looking forward to at the moment, Drought 3 really impressed me.

Lollipop is the worst thing to pop music since Fat Joe last released a song.

Yeah Lollipop sucked and Wayne himself is a cock, but the fact is Weezy has the best flow and metaphors out right now. RZA is stale.

Lil Wang(n)

Actaully he gets a bad rep because people judge him by the shit songs that make it on the radio when some of his other shits not that bad.

God damn I hate lollipop:mad:

Drought 3 was good but Lollipop was terrible and I don't know how the album is going to be. I've gotten tired of Wayne because he's kind of going downhill so I'm going to pass on III.

It's pretty good, but I've gotta say the lyrics and flows just aren't as good as Drought 3.

Why is it that so many rappers waste all their best material on mixtapes? Royce da 5'9 could be the best out if he matched his mixtapes on LPs.

I have a feeling he doesn't like the Mixtapes.....

God, I hope he's the next rapper shot.

That would be the worst thing to have happen. Let him burn himself out like all the other "whos hot" rappers do in due time. If he get killed people will actually be serious about putting him up the best ever. And thats more of a crime than him getting shot.

Good point. Hadn't thought that far ahead.

But if he does get shot, I hope it's like Peter Weller in Robocop.

I'd say C3 is easily better. Pharrell fell off.

Lyrically the Nerd album is weak, but I think it has the strongest production of the three albums. At least the songs have a theme though because I'm sick of Wayne's stream of conscious "I'm a lion ROAR, I'm a dinosaur!/I'm a sinus minus the nose, I'm a cold" bullshit raps.

My buddy bought Carter 3 and it's not terrible but it's nowhere near classic or even top 20 of the year. The song with Jay-Z is decent but it shows which Carter really is the Best Rapper Alive, at least named Carter. Jigga kills his verse and Busta kills his cameo as well, but at least in my opinion, all the guests outshine Wayne.

I don't know, I'm biased because the only verse I thought was truly classic from Wayne was on "Hollywood Divorce" off the last Outkast album, but I'm sick of him.

That's funny, I didn't really feel Wayne on Hollywood Divorce but I like some of his other shit. C2, C3 and D3 are all quite sick in my opinion. For me his verses take a few listens to appreciate because like you say he often rambles on on some stream of consciousness shit. But I haven't been able to stop checking his verses on Mr. Carter and I reckon he edges Jigga, almost comfortably.

His personality and some of his content piss me off but I do believe Dwayne's one of the most talented out at the moment. Album would be in my top 5 (LPs) or top 10 (inc mixtapes) releases of the year for me I think.

I find Wayne to be trash. That Nerd album is aight.

sold over 500,000 on his first day.

on the real hes not trash, he does put out some decent shit. but hes far from the best rapper alive that he tags himself.

adam_f

If he stopped making ten songs a day without writing shit down and started making three songs a day while writing shit down, I think everybody would be better off.

Kid Presentable

No I think he's trash. The first time in my life I haven't seen any redeeming qualities in everybody's hype-of-the-minute. Just because he skates the fine line between nonsensical metaphors and nonsensical similes, and people big him up for just using these devices. Never mind the fact he uses them terribly. On the eel.

Lex Diamonds

Why do you always hate? This is pretty much exactly what happens every time a big name drops an album, KP tries to discount the artist in any way possible like he's auditioning for Hater of the Year.

Wayne is better than 90% of rappers out right now, mainstream or otherwise. Any idiot can see that, and it's not just about metaphors. He's got charisma in spades, is prolific enough that he's bound to drop something good at least once a month, and has more swagger than Muhammad Ali. Not that he's likeable as a person, but he's a pretty colourful character.

PS
Wayne isn't even hype of the minute, he's been huge for about 3 years?

Well, the role of dickholder has obviously been filled. If I don't like dude, don't let it tangle your titties. Just shut the fuck up already; like you're going to impact my disregard for this guy.

Wayne is great what he does, perhaps even the best at what he does. Its just that his style isn't my thing, I like rappers who talk about something once in a while. He puts out an absolutely ABSURD amount of music and if you took his best stuff and rolled it into a handful of albums, I'm sure you'd have a couple that would be considered a bona fide classics by many (some consider Drought 3 to be, i can't really say though...).

I gotta listen to it more, but Carter III seems just alright to me, i guess one of my other problems with him is the production he gets on, not feelin alot of the beats. Jay kills it though...

not really feelin the new N.E.R.D. either, Pharrell is just tryin to do too much or something.... I want the simplicity of "In Search Of..."

lollipop is the worst.

Didn't really want to say this but fuck it, I'm fucked up right now so I dont' care:

I don't hate lollipop. I think it's kinda cool/funny in a "Boomin' Granny" sorta way. Not sure if Wayne is "joking" as much as the Bboys were on that track, but I like to "pretend" he was at least. I mean, how can you seriously say shit like "Shawty wanna hump, and ooo I like to touch ya lovely lady lumps."

Either way, me and a co-worker had a lot of fun this spring singing it in the office.

Shorty said them crackas that she wit ain't shit!

:o
