I'll bet Rolling Stone wishes they had put out their "100 Greatest Guitar Songs"
issue a week later so that they could effectively leech off of his death. They
didn't give him one song on the entire list. Not that I particularly care
about RS, but if you are going to put Chuck Berry at number one it isn't fair to
leave Bo Diddley off completely.
It's nothing new for the guy though. Maybe now he will start to get the credit he's always deserved.

Hugely underated - dude was one of the original b-boys with the bugged out beats and home-made guitars.
They don't make them like they used to.
We'll probably hear a lot more about him over the next couple of years as the industry milks the cash-cow, but the more people now about pioneers like him the better.
I'm sure I remember reading somewhere about the Beasties basing one of their beats around a Bo Diddley beat?
