No flavor of Listerine is ever going to taste good.
Bleh.
Yet it's still in my bar for mixed drinks.

You and Lester Bangs, man.
No, wait -- his was cough syrup. Carry on.
Nah, I'm just yankin' yer chain.
I have always wondered what the cough syrup habit was like.

A good thing to do is wash your mouth out with Listerine and then rinse with hot water. It burns a lot.
Over here we have Dentyl (http://www.dentylph.com/) which has a strange but nice tasting Cherry flavour. It's also made from two different liquids which settle in the bottle like water and oil and when you shake it up it has a glittery glow to it. It apparently captures the shit in between your teeth and turns it to pink gunk which you spit out.
My mrs likes that one, she's forever leaving the green gunk in the sink for me to clean out!

i bought the green bottle of that dentyl stuff, nastiest tasting mouthwash ever it was. i gagged on it once it was so vile and swore i'd never buy it ever again
That's what this stuff is like. If I use an entire capful I actually do gag.
Joke inducing mouthwash? Now that's the future right now.

No -- "gag" as in "stunt." If I gargle with a capful of this stuff I fall off a horse or jump out a building.

I saw that Tooth Defense (http://images.pennnet.com/articles/dem/thm/th_0705do_products24.jpg) Listerine looks like purple drank (http://images.blackheartgoldpants.com/images/admin/PurpleDrank.jpg). The need to grip 'n sip hit me pretty hard at that point. I also felt the need to stunt (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_81U4ngh4tc) like my biological father.
ACT is delicious though.

I think it's more about bombing germs than sweetening the breath.

Yeah that's what my doctor told me to do about three weeks ago when I got bad laryngitis.
It would keep the germs away from my throat (there was some huuge white blobs at the back of my throat).
I got some penicillin, but never got any Listerine or similar and now I've had a terrible toothache on all my top left teeth
(even on the one that isn't there)
and then the pain crept into my ear and today I got a prescription for a wider covering penicillin.
Pity the farmacist closed five minutes before I got there so there's one more night of pain killers
(didn't bother travelling to the city for the all-night farmacist).

Yesterday I got my new anti-biotics and bought a small bottle of Listerine as well...
Haven't opened it yet, as it turned out the anti-biotics do just about the same thing...
Funny thing is, I met my friends at a bar last night and for some reason Listerine turned up in the conversation,
as some drunk driver said the blow-out the police did turned out positive for alcohol and he said he'd just gurgled his mouth with Listerine.
I just pulled the bottle from my bag to check if it says how much alcohol there is...
Earlier that eve somebody spilled some Coke and I pulled out a bag of wet wipes...
People were just laughing that I'm always ready for anything!
My purse is a cornucopia....
