in a movie.
I can only think of a few.
Private piles in full metal jacket.
a couple in the untouchables (baseball bat and guy off the roof)
Marvin in pulp fiction
I am sure some of you movie and manga buffs can think of loads better and if you can provide clips that would be good

SPOILERS, OBVIOUSLY
In RoboCop, Emil going toxic and then getting plowed splat by the car was pretty good. So was the volunteer getting endlessly shot
by Ed 2000 (especially in the director's cut).
In Out of Sight, White Boy Bob tripping on the staircase and eating his gun was awesome.
The very end of Gallipoli is fucking wrenching.
In Saving Private Ryan, Jeremy Davis getting it as the soldier just slowly pushes the knife into him was amazing. It was almost sexual.
For that matter, E.T., as he died and that light went out. Not a dry eye in the house.
Two great deaths in Aguirre, the Wrath of God: in the first, Aguirre comes up on some men who are discussing mutiny. As one of
the men counts off something, Aguirre beheads him with a sword. The head rolls, eyes still open, and says the last number of the count.
In the other, a woman whose husband has been assassinated drifts off into the cannibal-filled jungle which swallows her up like a dream.

I think I saw it at the wrong age with the wrong people. We had to watch it when I was like a sophomore in highschool. Basically - what we took away from that movie was continually asking eachother how fast we were and shouting "STEEYLE SPRIINGS!!" down the hallways.
The ending was sad though, even then.

Yeah -- I don't know if a classroom setting would be the best way to watch anything, unless it was specifically a film class and the movie
were projected.
A girl I liked in high school recommended it to me. That and Diner and Birdy. Hell, the first time I ever saw Psycho was with her. She wasn't
interested in me, though, but her friend was, so it worked out.

In The Departed, I liked the way that Damon's character bought it. He walks in, sees the place is prepped, realizes what's going to happen,
opens his mouth to start to bullshit his way out of it -- "Okay -- " BLAM.
Miller's Crossing: "Look into your heart!" "What heart?" BLAM
Goodfellas: Tommy enters the room, thinking he's going to get made -- "Oh no -- " BLAM

sort of off-topic, but on the special edition DVD of goodfellas there's a DVD commentary with the actual real-life henry hill and the FBI agent who got him into the witness protection program (who plays himself in the movie, i believe, he's the "if you're legitimately bronchial, we'll see what we can do", etc, guy). apparently his first reaction to learning about tommy's death was actually relief, he was scared to death of that guy.

Good call on To Live in Die in LA
Scarface chainsaw seen
Boogie Nights when Little Bill went to his car and grabbed his gun then went back in and shot his whore wife, the man that was fucking her and then himself
The cinematography for the part that Ordell puts Beamont in the Trunk and the song "Strawberry Letter 23" is playing the whole time while he drives him to a not too far place then opens the trunk and shoots him was brilliant
The part where Jason Statham is falling out of the helicopter in the greatest movie ever made "Crank" and calls his girlfriend...No answer just an answering machine and he leaves a message. Made me like the song by Jefferson Starship "Miracles"
Saving Private Ryan where Pvt. Mellish was fighting a Nazi then the knife comes out and he starts trying to negotiate as the Nazi is putting the knife through his throat
That girl in Final Destination that says either Fuck You or Fuck This then gets hit by a bus
Some movie I saw where the person put an iron on the mark to subjugate information from him and it burned clear through. Can't remember the name of it but it left an impact on me.
Freddy : This is it: Your Big Break~Welcome to Prime Time Bitch
I like Rambo 1 where he shoots the National Guards or possibly Sheriff Brian Donnehy from below. Don't know about 3 but 4 had a nice brutal death scene towards the end where the blood/boody parts hits the camera
