I'd give anything to be able to carry off an elegant hat.

yeah, they were hip back then. Now, people are a bunch of walking billboards that don't even wear clothes for the style anymore. Just the name.
I liked that vid the most because in that crowd, there wasn't any random American Eagle, Prada, Hillfiger- etc.
If I were to relive back to any time, it would be the 40's though. To have served in the military to crush the Nazis would surely have proved my training and time and effort. Back then it somewhat made sense to serve the country. Right now its just terrible.
But I'd be wearing a snap cap, have a crooked cig hanging from my mouth and a pair of Wayfarers.

NYC is the last stronghold of "Class" in the USA.
I'm having a Seymor from "Ghostworld" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVL3SMY021k) phase again.

People back then had style, now everyone just wears crap, including myself. Even people who make an effort to dress up today just look like sluts or douchebags, a rare few look stylish.

Musicians hadn't discovered the distortion pedal yet. Ergo: 50's sucked
Excluding Chantilly Lace.. Which is an Anthem not a Song

shit howdoy,
Yeahwho I can't get it to to play. If he did "discover" the distortion pedal. I'm sure that we can both agree that it wasn't put to proper use until the 70's when Black Sabbath used it effectively
Or more importantly in the mid 80's when Trash metal uncovered the magic behind the distortion pedal accompained with the power of the palm mute E
